We\u2019ll touch on LinkedIn, Google and Talentis and show you the best when and how to search each. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkedin.com\/events\/candidatesourcing-beyondlinkedi6919928848130158592\/about\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Join the LinkedIn Event group <\/a><\/strong>here and sign up for your preferred session (all time zones covered!).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0);color:#207a87\" class=\"has-inline-color\"><strong>Recent enhancements to Talentis:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/mark><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have a development team working across three countries to enhance the Talentis experience for all our users. Minor updates appear on an almost daily basis \u2013 here are some more noticeable updates from the last couple of months:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Over the last month, we\u2019ve been doing <strong>a lot<\/strong> of work behind the scenes on Talentis, in preparation for some exciting enhancements to come. However, that hasn\u2019t prevented us delivering some much requested new functionality:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf <strong>Ignore Viewed Candidates<\/strong>: Probably the most frequently requested feature! Talentis sources so many potential candidates, that it can be challenging to know who you have considered and who you haven\u2019t. To use the ignore feature, go to the search screen, select the assignment, and then simply click \u201cIgnore\u201d on any candidates you\u2019ve reviewed and don\u2019t wish to review again on that assignment. They will be greyed out in search results for that assignment (but not, of course, for others).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf <strong>Custom Assignment Tags<\/strong>: It\u2019s now possible to define core competencies on a specific assignment and tag candidates with those competencies. Those Tags subsequently appear on the candidate list, may be filtered on, and are included in an export. Here&#8217;s a video showing you how to use Tags:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"720\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1152 \/ 720;\" width=\"1152\" controls poster=\"https:\/\/www.talentis.global\/recruitment-software\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/talentis-tags-video-thumbnail.png\" src=\"https:\/\/www.talentis.global\/recruitment-software\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/How-to-use-Tags-in-Talentis.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf <strong>Show candidate relationships within Search Results<\/strong>: This is a great feature. When you run a search, it\u2019s now possible for you to see your existing relationship with a potential candidate \u2013 see if you\u2019ve added them to other searches, for example. The ability to <strong>exclude candidates with certain keywords<\/strong> is, again, a big feature request \u2013 it\u2019s a great tool to reduce the \u201cbackground noise\u201d in your search results. For example, imagine you are looking for a head of development for an arts organization; the search is for a fundraiser, but if you search for \u201cdevelopment\u201d you\u2019ll find people in creative development. In this scenario, you would use the new exclude feature to exclude candidates with the word \u201ccreative\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf <strong>Campaigns<\/strong> will allow you to build and store lists of people outside of assignments. This is a major feature. You\u2019ll be able to use this potentially as a way of building candidate pipelines or as a client business development tool. Much of the development is now complete, and you can expect to see the fruits of our work in the next couple of weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf <strong>Profile not found messages<\/strong> \u2013 we know this is a frustration! This happens when a user searches on Talentis and clicks onto LinkedIn \u2013 but receives a \u201cProfile not available\u201d message. It generally happens when a person has changed his \/ her LinkedIn URL, perhaps as a result of a name change. The best way to find the new profile is to look up in LinkedIn using the person\u2019s first name, company and job title. We mentioned above that we are changing how we refresh our data, and as part of this, we are expecting to dramatically reduce the number of 404 messages our users see. Various options are in testing now, and we\u2019d expect to see results of our change on the live platform in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf We are also adding further <strong>\u201cuser onboarding\u201d<\/strong> content to Talentis. Here\u2019s an example \u2013 this is a video showing you how to get the most out of our search tool. You\u2019ll see this in the app itself imminently:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-video\"><video height=\"720\" style=\"aspect-ratio: 1280 \/ 720;\" width=\"1280\" controls src=\"https:\/\/www.talentis.global\/recruitment-software\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/How-to-get-the-most-out-of-the-Talentis-search-tool.mp4\"><\/video><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u25cf Slightly further down the track, we have\u2026 Well, you\u2019ll have to wait and see. Rest assured, however, Talentis is going to be even more powerful, even easier to use and even more sophisticated by the end of Q2!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong><span style=\"color:#207a87\" class=\"has-inline-color\">Upcoming Events:<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was great to meet some of our US clients at the recent SourceCon convention. Our next public event is in the UK when we present Talentis to members of the Executive Research Association in May. In June, we will be presenting to the IRC Global Partners in Barcelona.
