Welcome to the first issue of the Talentis newsletter! We’ve got lots to share with you about recent and upcoming developments on the platform, some new on-demand content, and upcoming events where we’d love to see you!
Recent enhancements to Talentis:
We have a development team working across three countries to enhance the Talentis experience for all our users. Minor updates appear on an almost daily basis – here are some more noticeable updates from the last couple of months:
Our TalentGraph now covers approximately 250 million people. Our big data team have combined data from sources including LinkedIn, FT.com, Bloomberg, Twitter, Facebook, AzureMaps, Bing API and more – this is why keyword searches in Talentis typically deliver more than 50% more candidates than any other product
Our search screen now offers unique “augmented keyword” search. Described as “Boolean on steroids”, it allows users to search across people and company information simultaneously, and use “job specific keyword targeting” in a manner that neither Google or LinkedIn can achieve
We’ve also added “structured job title” searching to help find candidates that have unusual job titles
Our candidate lists show profile previews (avoiding the need to open new tabs) and allow users to view and update notes from the assignment list view
Once you’ve found a candidate, it’s possible to email directly from any email address on the platform – including from the Chrome extension. Yes, you can email directly from inside a LinkedIn profile!
Literally dozens of other, smaller enhancements will improve your experience of the platform
Coming soon to Talentis:
Over the coming days and weeks, you will see major changes to our search screen: – A “mark as viewed” type feature – The ability to see if a candidate has been placed or even shortlisted before – directly from search – Last contact date and so on – all of this is in development right now
We are revamping how we refresh our data. We’ve partnered with a third party and are in the final stage of tests that will dramatically increase the frequency with which our data is refreshed. You’ll also start to see less of those “Unknown URL” errors from LinkedIn (which typically mean a LinkedIn profile URL has been changed and we’ve not spotted the updated link yet.)
Candidate tags on a project – This will allow you to tag candidates with custom descriptions (Diverse, for example) and filter or report on these tags. We are enhancing our Excel exports to facilitate this.
Business development – A bigger project, but well underway…. Imagine if our big data pool and search functionality supported not just candidate identification, but client business development too? Well, we had the same thought! It’s coming…
Upcoming Events:
Following the success of our attendance at the UK RecExpo exhibition in February, we’ll be joining the US “SourceCon” conference on March 9-10. March 16 sees us join the Executive Research Association for a member event.
