- The Head, Human Resources has the overall responsibility to manage the people strategy of the organization, ensuring that human resources programs and initiatives are effective, efficient, and aligned to overall objectives and corporate vision of the organization.
Job Responsibilities
- Effectively plan, design, develop and evaluate human resource-related initiatives that support organizational strategic goals.
- Translate strategic and tactical business plans into Human Resources operational plans.
- Steer design and execution of programs and initiatives spanning employee engagement, reward and recognition, succession planning, performance management, talent management, diversity and inclusion, employee relations, change management, organizational design, and workforce planning.
- Advise management on strategic staffing plans, compensation, benefits, training and development, budget, and labor relations.
- Evaluate effectiveness in Human Capital through compiling and analyzing data, prepare and distribute various reports on HR metrics to ensure needs are met.
- Annually reviews and makes recommendations to executive management for improvement of the organization’s policies, procedures and practices on employee matters.
- Develop a culture that enables employees to perform in accordance with the organization’s objectives.
- Direct the development and implementation of organizational development programs, employee onboarding & orientation and training programs, benefits plans, policies and guidelines, database management procedures, equal opportunity employment programs, and employee records and documentation policies.
- Maintain knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensure organization’s compliance.
- Communicate changes in the organization’s personnel policies and procedures and ensure that proper compliance is followed.
- Work directly with department managers to provide guidance and counsel in carrying out their responsibilities on employee matters.
- Develop and maintain a human resource information system that meets the organization’s personnel information needs.
- Coach managers on issues relating to employee performance and development.
- Manage and supervise the staff of the human resource department.
Job Requirements
- First degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent, master’s degree is an added advantage.
- 5 – 8 years of Human Resources experience with a track record of working in a QSR or related industry
- A certification in Human Resources is required.
- Experienced in attracting top talent, improving HR processes & policies, developing and implementing people strategies that support business growth and corporate strategies, improving employee morale, wellbeing & retention, strengthening relations between employees and employers, promoting the corporate values & culture, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory people management requirements.
- Minimum of 2 years in leadership roles. Demonstrate the ability to communicate, present and credibly influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Results oriented person with distinctive people management abilities, possess a sound knowledge of regulatory requirements for effective management of human resources, people data analysis and change management.
