Associate Director, Global Trade (Onsite)

What You Will Do:

An organization have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated Associate Director of Global Trade to join their team!

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead a team of highly capable and effective Global Trade professionals operating across a complex global regulatory and operational landscape for the P&W Commercial Engines business;
  2. Interface with internal and external customers/partners regarding GT requirements pertaining to export activities, developing and delivering training, determine authorization needs and/or interpret complex licenses/agreements;
  3. Ensure P&W and GT compliance goals are effectively supported, including providing guidance on GT laws and regulations pertaining to export controls and sanctions regulations, training and risk assessments (e.g., Global Risk Review), as appropriate;
  4. Maintain awareness of changes to global GT regulations, sanctions and P&W policies and procedures; ensure timely communications and updates to internal and external customers;
  5. Ensure all export authorization portfolios support strategic and transactional requirements for parts and engines repaired outside the U.S. and Canada, both internally (tools, records management) and externally (scope of transfer authority, parties) and track expiration dates, value limitations, etc., and ensure no business interruptions;
  6. Deploy GT policies and procedures, communication strategies and training to relevant sites and stakeholders and ensure business standard work and processes incorporate GT touchpoints;
  7. Support audits and investigations impacting assigned programs as well as incident management, identifying gaps, remediation and continually improving metrics, as well as leading or participating in investigations & disclosures;
  8. Engage with customers in business meetings/forums to ensure proper flow-down of GT updates, capture of first notice/strategies with GT implications, coordinate with leadership while providing necessary guidance, promoting ethical behavior to meet business expectations;
  9. Contribute to periodic reporting, control towers on export controls to multiple reporting channels.

 

Qualifications You Must Have:

  1. Advanced degree with and 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Legal, Regulatory or Global Trade function; OR Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience.
  2. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

 

Qualifications We Prefer:

  1. Degree in STEM field; Supply Chain, Business or Engineering preferred.
  2. Personnel management / leadership experience and ability to lead and influence technical teams.
  3. Strong business acumen with ability to analyze problems, assess options and propose solutions.
  4. Project management experience and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement tools (CORE/ACE/SixSigma).
  6. Experience working with SAP GTS module, Data Analysis tools, and MS Office Suite.
  7. Ability to work and effectively communicate with all levels of management, shop personnel and customers.
