Job Description
What you will be doing:
- Operating as a strategic business partner that will champion the development and implementation of strategies which facilitate business performance of the hotel.
- Responsible for timely and accurate production of monthly P&L and balance sheet to the consolidated reporting.
- Oversee daily internal audit process.
- Monthly forecasting.
- Leading and directing the team to deliver high quality finance support services.
- Create an annual operating budget for the property, whilst providing analytical support during budget reviews to identify performance and productivity opportunities.
What You Will Need
- Understanding of state and federal legislation for tax, superannuation, long service leave and National Employment Standards.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role within the Hospitality industry.
- Excellent accounting software user, desirable previous use of Zambion, PurchasePlus, Opera Cloud and sun.
- Thorough knowledge and experience of financial accounting principles and procedures including statutory responsibilities.
- Tertiary qualification in accounting and/ or Finance, Commerce would be advantageous.
- CA or CPA qualified.
