What You’ll Do
- Conduct and lead white-boarding sessions, workshops, design sessions, and project meetings building strong client relations
- Interacting with various business groups to help define needs and then translating those needs into customized solutions that deliver long-term value to our clients
- Lead analysis, architecture, design and development of cloud and/or on-prem Data Warehouse, Data Lake, and Business Intelligence solutions
- Assist business development team with pre-sales activities and RFPs that align with practice revenue targets
- Lead estimation and planning efforts for client projects
- Collaborate in the creation/enhancement of best practices, points-of-view, and delivery templates (Modern Data Architecture, Cloud Data Platforms, Data Lakes etc.) to standardize sales and delivery efforts
- Collaborate with client DW/BI/Reporting team to standardize reporting and analytics implementation(s) across a variety of business teams/users/constituents
- Design and develop Data Ingestion/Integration architecture (ETL/ELT) frameworks following industry best practices
- Define business case, strategy and solution for Data Quality, Data Governance, Data Catalog and/or MDM use cases based on client needs
- Responsible for People/Career Management and project staffing
- Support recruiting and onboarding of new employees into the practice
- Act as a champion for one or more technical partner alliances, setting strategic goals for the practice, and managing relationships with alliance vendors
What You’ll Bring
- 10+ years of experience, specializing in enterprise wide deployed DW/BI solution architecture, design, and development preferably with consulting experience
- 5+ years of consulting experience leading pre-sales activities such as leading business development presentations, estimating level of effort for analytics and data work, creating proposals, writing SOWs and closing business, managing post sale delivery workload etc.
- Prior experience and/or active certification (a plus) in at least one of the major cloud technology platforms like AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure (data services), Snowflake, etc.
- Prior implementation experience of Snowflake AND/OR Databricks
- Data architecture and Data Modeling skills, specifically building / understanding star schema-based data marts, deep understanding of Slowly Changing Dimension strategies etc.
- Prior experience in implementing Data Lake using HDFS, AWS S3, GCP Cloud Storage or Azure BLOB is a plus
- Proven passion for analytics/BI and the ability to communicate its value as a strategic business advantage
- Solid aptitude for learning new technologies and analytics techniques
- Outstanding interpersonal skills (both in presentation and comprehension) along with the aptitude for thought leadership in analytics
- Highly self-driven and able to work independently as well as in a team environment

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. For this position, the base salary pay range is $140,000 to $261,000. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
- Ability to travel 50-75%, contingent on client needs.
