As a Product Controller – Associate in our APAC Payments Product Control team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial integrity of our business across 14 APAC locations. This is your opportunity to work closely with a dynamic team in Singapore, contributing to the financial success of a leading global firm.

As a Product Controller – Associate in the APAC Payments Product Control team, you will ensure the financial performance of our Payments business is accurately reflected in our financial statements, external disclosures, and regulatory filings. You will collaborate with various teams to maintain the integrity of our Income Statement and Balance Sheet, supporting strategic business decisions and enhancing our financial reporting processes.

Job responsibilities

  • Perform monthly close activities including but not limited to review of financial data, investigating and provide variance commentaries on significant variances and transactions
  • Collaborate with Business, Financial Control, Legal Entity Control, Operations, Corp tax, Income Attribution team, and Planning & Analysis team to resolve issues promptly (including advising accounting schema)
  • Govern and manage key deliverables such as Tax transfer pricing initiatives, Finance projects, including coordination across functions and timely issue escalation
  • Support business initiatives such as change management, NBIA and UAT testing
  • Assess the impact of technological transformations on Product Control’s BAU activities
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance, with minimum 3 years of experience in Product Control function, accounting or external audit in the financial services industry.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving skills, attention to detail and control focus
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships with global team and other groups within the organization
  • Enthusiastic, highly motivated and effective under tight timeframes and pressure
  • Self-starter, motivated, proactive, and takes ownership of key deliverables
  • Sound judgment with valid reasoning and balanced decision-making
  • Attention to detail, results-oriented, and delivery-focused
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills and good knowledge of SAP system

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Knowledge of Payments or Transaction Banking products, Tax transfer pricing and sub-ledger systems
  • Qualified accountant (CA/CPA)
  • Experience with Digital Accelerator tools, including Business Intelligence and Visualization tools e.g., Tableau and QlikView”
