General Description

The Admin Director of Oncology and Infusion Pharmacy Services will be responsible for clinical pharmacy services in outpatient oncology and care areas, and investigational drug services at OU Health.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop clinical pharmacy services across the ambulatory care setting to achieve optimal health outcomes and provide high-quality patient care including recruitment of highly- trained individuals.
  • Demonstrate the value of pharmacy services through timely reporting of defined metrics that contribute to the goals of the enterprise.
  • Maintain knowledge of evolving therapies to ensure institutional practices are supported by evidence-based medicine.
  • Provide direct oversight of OU Health’s investigational drug service program including but not limited to investigational drug service billing and reimbursement, compliance to clinical trial protocols and the Institutional Review Board’s policies and procedures, and documentation.
  • Oversight of the PGY-2 Hematology/Oncology Pharmacy Residency Program.
  • Responsible for compliance and reporting of academic standards for residency program accreditation.
  • Understand the fundamentals and importance of the 340B Drug Pricing Program.
  • Foster collaboration between pharmacy, medical staff, leadership and clinical areas.
  • Support specialty pharmacy optimization through clinical pharmacy services.
  • Directly responsible for maintaining compliance to regulations form state, local and federal agencies for pharmacy including safe medication management practices.

General Responsibilities

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Doctorate of Pharmacy required. Master’s Degree in related field preferred.

Experience: 6 or more years of professional work experience with emphasis on care clinical pharmacy and oncology required. 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership experience required. 340B experience preferred.

Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: Licensed Pharmacist by the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy required. Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy preferred.

  • Good verbal and written communication skills. Proficient in management skills.
  • Ability to prioritize workload and respond to variability based on organization’s needs
  • Ability to achieve results in a complex, interdisciplinary environment
