Responsibilities / Position overview:
- Provides leadership role for client and agency product teams
- Contacts and meets with client to maintain/grow current relationships. Proposes ideas and new business projects to clients
- Works with internal teams to develop contracts, project estimates, budget proposals, and strategic initiatives for submission to client
- Contributes to the development of product strategy and implementation of communication plans
- Leads projects from planning to completion
- Delegates projects to junior account team members and provides oversight throughout critical phases of each project
- Consults with account leadership and other team members to optimize account success
- Develops and maintains strong relationships with client-related stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Legal, Medical and Compliance)
- Oversees and directs project(s) through external vendors and internal departments as necessary, i.e., IT, Editorial, Graphics, and Art
- Ensures that progressive stages of projects are executed to meet deadlines, budget, and client expectations
- Manages junior account team members for enhanced professional development
- Acquires thorough knowledge of client’s business (disease state, product, competitors, etc.) to proactively manage anticipated opportunities and challenges
- Monitors the marketplace continuously; providing updates to the client and internal team
- Maintains continuous learning to ensure thorough understanding of the healthcare landscape
- Potential to participate in new business development and support including research, presentation development, potential client engagement and meeting participation
- Potential to plan, organize, and participate in client pitch presentations
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, health economics, advertising, or related field, preferably with market access experience
- Minimum 7-9 years of experience in a fast-paced agency environment
- Demonstrated experience and success in leadership of cross-functional agency teams
- Incisive thinking, decisive action
- High motivation, excellent work ethic, maturity, and personal initiative
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Fluency in Microsoft Office applications
- Candidates must possess US work authorization
- Occasional travel may be required
