Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology or a closely related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- A minimum of three (3) years of previous professional archeological experience.
- A minimum of six (6) months of previous experience as a Field Director (Pennsylvania or adjacent states/regions preferred).
- Working knowledge of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act.
- Previous experience with and understanding of curation procedures and requirements according to standards within Pennsylvania and/or surrounding region(s).
- Experience with GIS and digital recording tools and platforms for use in the field.
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely using both written and verbal skills.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting and walking on uneven surfaces carrying at least 20 lbs. of equipment, and working in extreme (heat/cold) weather conditions.
- Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship.
- Valid driver’s license with acceptable violation history.
- Possess a means of transportation (i.e., vehicle).
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening.
