Summary
The Associate Director of Enrollment Services (ADES) in collaboration with the Director of Enrollment services, where possible, is responsible for leading and managing the Enrollment Services department at the campus level. Reporting to the Director of Enrollment Services or Campus Director, the ADES plays a crucial role in hiring, training, and developing new enrollment services representatives. This position ensures that all prospective and enrolled students receive timely, accurate, compliant, and exceptional customer service.
The ADES is accountable for meeting or exceeding all performance expectations and achieving the team goals of the Enrollment Services Department.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensures compliance in all recruiting activities, adheres to all laws and regulations governing student recruitment activities and upholds San Joaquin Valley College’s conduct and ethics expectations.
- Provide leadership, training, development, and performance management for all enrollment services team members.
- In collaboration with the DES, oversee the observation process of new enrollment services representatives, ensuring they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge.
- Assign individual performance goals to each member of the Enrollment Services team and review progress toward these goals on a weekly basis.
- Manage all recruitment activities for maximum efficiency to meet or exceed team goals.
- Conduct two daily touch base meetings with each enrollment services employee: one to set expectations for the day and another at the end of the day to recap outcomes and provide feedback.
- Perform a minimum of two formal phone and/or in-person interview observations with each enrollment services employee each month, with additional observations as needed based on quality, compliance, and overall performance.
- Provide one-on-one and team training to enhance skills and performance.
- Collaborate with Student Finance and Academic Affairs for cross-departmental meetings and training sessions.
- Prepare and conduct performance evaluations for enrollment services employees.
- Conduct New Student Reviews (NSR) and ensure that enrollment services employees follow up with both enrolled and interviewed students.
- Assist the campus in networking and developing professional relationships to generate inquiries at the campus level.
- Provide accurate and timely enrollment forecasts.
- Maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Establish and maintain an effective system of communication with all departments.
- Engage in campus community events and activities.
- Complete other duties as assigned.

Education And/or Experience
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of Enrollment Services/Admissions experience.
- Prior supervisory experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated successful multi-tasking and time management skills in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior organizational, problem-solving, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills required.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
