Exempt/Non-Exempt: Exempt Employment Type: Full Time

Description: This position is expected to be involved in leading and managing multiple tasks across multiple functions within Bama for Maintenance and Engineering. This position will drive tactical and strategic initiatives at a facility plus lead and assist in the Environmental, Process Safety Management, and Sustainability programs for Bama USA. The Director is expected to be involved in leading and managing multiple projects developing scope, timing and budget for new product lines as well as process improvements to the existing system across plant operations, while driving innovation into the processes. Innovation is achieved through the application of engineering tools, such as pneumatic, electrical, refrigeration and ergonomic principles. This position will drive environmental initiatives across the organization. The Director will organize the education and leadership of Sustainability efforts. The Director will review and define ammonia refrigeration standards to merge with the sustainability efforts of the overall company. Standards for measurement and goal establishment will be set across the organization. The level of complexity is significant, and the position is expected to eliminate/mitigate risks, create a future state of technical excellence, and deliver results on a short- and long-term basis consistent with executive business goals. This position requires strong communication skills, technical, interpersonal, business acumen and leadership ability.

Essential Job Functions/Job Responsibilities

  • BS Degree in a Science related discipline or business.
  • Experience in managing multiple and diverse discipline departments.
  • 10 years of progressive increasing responsibility and experience in a fast-paced plant environment.
