CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position requires a senior level leader who is strategic, highly collaborative, and influential. This position is responsible for managing, monitoring, governing and evaluating the overall strategy, planning and analysis the Company’s financial operations domestically. A strong international focus and collaboration is expected to ensure the Company’s corporate financial strategy is stable and strategically growing. The CFO is also responsible for a focus on the bottom line financial and operating performance as well as building relationships with the shareholders, Board of Directors and any external professional firms.

Essential Job Functions

  • Responsible for coaching, teaching, and supervision of assigned personnel.
  • Responsible for effective employee relations. Initiates and is proactive with employee coaching and development. Resolves employee issues through identifying problems and resolutions.
  • Provide on-site leadership for project team by building and motivating team members to meet project goals while adhering to their responsibilities and project milestones.
  • Responsible for the performance management (hiring, development, discipline, termination) of direct reports while collaborating with Human Resources.
  • Partner in leading the organization as a leader, change agent and active motivator.
  • Maintain executive responsibility for financial operations including working capital, capital expenditures, debt and cash flow, taxes, budget and general accounting, financial forecasting, budgets and consolidations, and planning and analysis.
  • Develop and direct financial plans to deliver a strategic business plan, company growth and mergers and acquisitions.
  • Establish and maintain stable cash flow management procedures to ensure cash resources are available for needed operations.
  • Establish and improve financial controls and metrics.
  • Manage and execute financial updates and strategies to the Board of Directors as required.
  • Develop and execute strategic semi-annual and annual planning collaboratively with team(s) directly managed.
  • Manage team to ensure continuous improvement events within the team are executed and maintain cross-functionally throughout the organization.
  • Responsible for the identification and implementation of new Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) standards appropriately and within required timelines set by the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB).
  • Maintain knowledge of current GAAP guidance in relation to the accounting departments and periodically review processes and procedures with direct reports and other managers to validate compliance.
  • Manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, third-party and other financial reporting to ensure compliance.
  • Collaborate and mentor other coworkers throughout the organization.
  • Lead and support Great Game of Business and Open Book Management programs through huddle meetings and strategic planning.
  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
  • Regular, in-person attendance due to necessary teamwork and personal interactive nature of this position.
  • Manage risk through analysis of company liabilities and investments, capital structure and project contracts that flow through the organization.

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor Degree in a business, accounting / finance, or technical field required.
  • Certified Public Accountant required.
  • Master’s Degree preferred.
  • Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years accounting and finance experience required.
  • Five or more years of experience in an executive leadership position preferred.
  • International finance and mergers and acquisitions experience preferred.

Base Compensation Range: $244,532 – $440,158 annually

Variable Compensation Range: Incentive bonus eligibility up to 10% of gross annual salary base on company performance (as of 2024).

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Professional office environment with some time spent in the manufacturing area. Exposure to conditions, such as: dust, fumes, noise and high-degree varying seasonal temperatures. Machinery with energy sources including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, chemical, or other energy.
