We are an established commercial roofing contractor in the market looking to bring on a top tier commercial roofing leader.
Overview:
As a Commercial Roofing Business Unit President, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of roofing operations within a designated location. Your role will involve managing a team of roofing professionals, ensuring high-quality workmanship, fostering client relationships, and driving business growth. You will play a pivotal role in achieving company objectives while upholding safety standards and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of roofing technicians, estimators, and administrative staff.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, safety, and professional development.
- Operations Management:
- Oversee day-to-day roofing operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and project management.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with company standards and industry regulations.
- Implement and enforce safety protocols to minimize risks and maintain compliance with safety regulations.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with commercial clients, architects, contractors, and property managers.
- Act as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, concerns, and project updates.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand business relationships and pursue new business opportunities.
- Financial Management:
- Develop and manage branch budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.
- Monitor project costs, expenses, and profitability to ensure financial objectives are met.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and efficiency improvements to maximize profitability.
- Quality Assurance:
- Uphold high standards of workmanship and quality control throughout all roofing projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess work progress and ensure adherence to specifications and safety standards.
- Address any issues or deficiencies promptly and implement corrective actions as necessary.
- Market Analysis and Business Development:
- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities.
- Identify growth opportunities and develop strategic plans to expand market share and increase revenue.
- Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to develop promotional campaigns, generate leads, and secure new business.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
- Proven experience in commercial roofing, with a minimum of 8-15 years in a managerial or leadership role.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and empower teams to achieve goals.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite.
- In-depth knowledge of roofing materials, techniques, and best practices.
- Understanding of local building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
