We are seeking a “hands-on” Controller (100% office based) with prior management experience who will:

• Assist in the preparation of month-end financial statements by day ten (10) including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement in accordance with GAAP
• Assist in the preparation of journal entries for various income statement, balance sheet and expense accounts
• Facilitate monthly reconciliation of general ledger and bank accounts
• Serve as a backup for all payroll and AP processing related activities
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements
• Assist with monthly sales tax reporting
• Serve as a liaison to external auditors and coordinate annual audit activities
• Audit and approve expense reports
• Assist in annual parts inventory reconciliation process and other inventory activities
• Provides financial analyses as needed for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
• Lead special projects across the company that reduce cost / increase productivity

Job requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, economics, finance, or statistics; CPA is a plus
• Must have 7+ years of accounting or corporate finance experience
• Strong analytical skills with strong understanding of general ledger and GAAP
• Excellent problem-solving skills and good use of logic
• Ability to multi-task and adapt to changing priorities
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Professional appearance and strong work ethic
