An organisation is seeking a CTO (Chief Technology Officer) – Premium Furniture Marketplace Platform

The organisation is launching a premium online furniture marketplace focused on curated, high-quality, and sustainably crafted designs. Our mission is to become the go-to digital destination for design-savvy, eco-conscious consumers — where craftsmanship meets innovation.

We’re building a design-led, scalable tech platform and are looking for a CTO & Co-Founder to join us in shaping the technical future of the company.

We are looking for a CTO and technical co-founder who can turn this vision into a scalable digital product.

Responsibilities

1. Design and build the technical architecture of the platform
2. Develop and launch the MVP, including brand onboarding, product catalogs, and payment systems
3. Ensure scalability, security, and user experience are built into the core from day one
4. Collaborate closely with the founding team on product direction and strategy
5. Recruit and lead a technical team as the company grows

Ideal Profile

1. 5+ years of experience building web platforms (React, Next.js, Node.js, Django or similar)
2. Background in e-commerce or marketplace platforms is highly preferred
3. Strong knowledge of backend systems, APIs, payment integrations (Stripe, etc.), and cloud infrastructure (AWS, Vercel)
4. Comfortable making key architectural decisions and leading from the front
5. A passion for craftsmanship, sustainability, and design-oriented products
6. Bonus: Familiarity with CMS tools (Sanity, Strapi), product configurators, or international commerce
