Job Description

This key leadership position will report to the Chief Financial Officer and execute the continuous improvement strategy and approach in Finance and Accounting by providing technical and strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities. This role will collaborate with other departments to sustain, improve, and streamline processes within all disciplines of Finance and Accounting. Successful candidate in this role will be an experienced leader of continuous improvement and understand Finance and Accounting concepts and the ability to apply those in a complex environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Cultivates the MasterBrand Way culture by utilizing the tools and methodologies of the MasterBrand Business System while driving change.
  • Utilizes continuous improvement tools, processes and systems to better quality, efficiency, cost and reduce waste overall. Leads business and functional teams to analyze and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes and develop sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable process improvements.
  • Serves as a teacher and coach in 6S, Kaizen events, Standard Work, Daily Management, A3 Problem Solving, Value Stream Maps and related process improvement methodologies through hands-on participation. Focuses development in preparing resources to cascade and sustain these methodologies further into the business, developing the next level of leaders.
  • Leads Finance and Accounting leaders to deploy, improve and sustain standard work for key Finance and Accounting processes.
  • Develops and sustains a funnel of kaizen events that support the Finance and Accounting strategy and cost improvement targets.
  • Supports the development of the Finance and Accounting strategy, priorities, and goals.
  • Understands and applies financial drivers and key performance indicators.
  • Documents best practices and shares improvements to leverage results.
  • Trains and retains skilled staff through career development and mentoring.
  • Consistently demonstrates the MasterBrand Way, positioning the company for growth and helping identify opportunities to reduce waste, complexity, and improve our work environment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • An undergraduate degree in Business, Accounting, Finance required.
  • 5 to 7 years of finance and/or accounting experience.
  • Lean Six Sigma Certification and/or Qualifications.
  • Change leadership skills and experience leading cultural change to a Lean environment.
  • Progressive financial experience leading diverse teams at multiple locations within a manufacturing organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop an efficient and engaged finance team and to manage multiple priorities and team members in an efficient & effective manner.
  • Positive and solution-orientated attitude and approach.
  • Excellent analytical and communication skills (oral and written) required.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) required.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels in the organization. Adaptable to business needs and priorities.
  • Ability to articulate a vision and drive results through influence of indirect reporting relationships.
  • Strong project management, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to travel 50% annually (domestic & international).
