Director, Finance

The Director of Finance is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing financial planning, analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision support. This individual will lead a team of finance professionals and collaborate across departments to drive financial performance, ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulatory requirements, and support strategic initiatives across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage operational budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  • Provide executive management with clear insights into drivers of business performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and analyses.
  • Drive cost optimization and profitability improvement initiatives.
  • Manage financial modeling and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the accounting department to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with GAAP and internal policies.
  • Oversee capital planning, investment analysis, and ROI assessments.
  • Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A), including financial due diligence and integration.
  • Mentor and develop a high-performing finance team; foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate financial planning, analysis, and reporting.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Workday) and financial modeling tools.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Preferred:
  • Experience in a Fortune 500 or similarly scaled organization.
  • Industry knowledge in construction industry.
  • Experience in service or rental businesses.
  • Track record of driving process improvements and operational efficiency.

BrandSafway offers a competitive benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance along with a generous 401k plan. The salary range for this position is $175,000 – $225,000 annually. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary for this position.
