What is the opportunity?
In this role, the successful candidate would be responsible for the leading of Identity and Access Management (IAM) controls assurance practice, leveraging Enterprise policies and standards as it pertains pertains to the IAM domain. Primary focus is on the tactical deliveries related to major regulatory programs, shifting to a strategic approach for evolving the IAM control assurance landscape and driving efficiencies in it’s operations through cross team collaboration.
What will you do?
- Leading engagements for IAM related control testing activities in support of strategic initiatives, regulatory matters and BAU operations, as well as collaborating with RBC cross functional teams supporting IAM control compliance and assurance.
- Maintains mappings of the enterprise-wide IAM Control Process Models and supporting material, to RBC Standards and regulatory requirements
- Oversight for identification and assistance in the cataloguing of potential gaps in implementation of IAM Enterprise services as it relates to RBC Standards
- Identifies and supports minimum set of business requirements and control points.
- Stakeholder in the review of procedure documents created by operational teams and programs to align to Standards and Regulations.
- Reviews the inventory of all current IAM processes and procedures to ensure alignment to Standards and Regulations as changes in operating environment evolve.
- Monitors and provides input into compliance of IAM Services with policies and standards.
- Leads consultancy services for all IAM related Audit, Regulatory and third-party requests for evidence
- Oversight for evidence gathering of all IAM related Audit, Regulatory and third-party requests for evidence
- Analyses and supports the opinions on all evidence gathered from requests to provide guidance and support to operational, support and project teams as to how to address follow up questions and potential issues
- Continuous evaluation of process and procedures, including ways that we interface with other cross functional teams, looking for ways to innovate and drive efficiency in how we work.
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Experience in areas of audit, IT risk and controls management and testing
- Previous leadership role in identity and access management (IAM) or working knowledge of IAM controls and process implementations.
- People management and leadership experience
- Strong analytical, technical skills for effective communication and presentation across various levels of management.
Nice-to-have
- First-hand knowledge of IAM controls management and execution.
- 5+ years within a global financial organization
- 5+ years within an IAM operations, IT Risk or Audit role
- Experience in KRI / KPI metrics reporting and analytics
- Strategic mindset with excellent knowledge of the financial IT industry
- Working knowledge of IT models and data analysis
