About The Role
Night is seeking a dynamic Director of Corporate Development to lead strategic growth initiatives across Night’s expanding ecosystem. Reporting directly to the President, the Vice President will be responsible for sourcing, evaluating, and executing acquisitions, strategic investments, and partnerships that expand Night’s role in the digital creator economy.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in M&A, corporate strategy, revenue generation, venture investing, and strategic advisory work within media, entertainment, technology, or the broader creator economy.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the sourcing and execution of mergers, acquisitions, and strategic investments across sectors such as digital media, production studios, technology platforms, consumer brands, and creator-focused businesses.
- Maintain strong relationships with founders, CEOs, industry partners, venture firms, and investment banks.
- Identify and structure strategic partnerships that enhance Night’s capabilities in content production, technology, distribution, and commerce.
- Track and analyze creator economy trends to identify early opportunities for strategic moves.
- Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of actionable opportunities aligned with Night’s growth strategy.
- Conduct financial modeling, valuation analyses, and strategic diligence to support decision-making.
- Work closely with internal teams to identify areas where acquisitions or partnerships can accelerate business objectives.
- Partner with legal, finance, and operational teams on transaction negotiation and execution.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, venture capital, or corporate development, with significant exposure to media, entertainment, technology, or consumer sectors.
- Strong deal execution experience, from sourcing through closing.
- Expertise in financial modeling, valuation, due diligence, and investment structuring.
- Deep understanding of the creator economy, digital media trends, and consumer technology landscape.
- Proven ability to navigate founder-driven businesses and entrepreneurial environments.
- Exceptional relationship-building, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Located in (or willing to relocate to) Los Angeles.
Preferred Experience
- Direct experience advising or investing in creator economy businesses, digital media companies, or content / commerce platforms.
- Relationships within the investment, tech, and media communities.
- Ability to operate both strategically and hands-on in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
