Job Summary

The Director of Corporate Responsibility reports to the Division Corporate Responsibility Officer for the Central Florida Division, who also serves as the Regional Corporate Responsibility Officer (RCRO) for AdventHealth Orlando. The AdventHealth Orlando Corporate Responsibility Department provides direction and oversight of the Corporate Responsibility Program for the hospital and hospital-based facilities in the Central Florida Division-South Region, functioning as an independent and objective body that reviews, promotes, and evaluates compliance issues/concerns. The Director, Corporate Responsibility collaborates with, and provides significant support to, the AdventHealth Orlando RCRO to implement the Corporate Responsibility Program, identify and assess areas of compliance risk, and respond to compliance inquiries and reports of potential non-compliance. The Director, Corporate Responsibility works closely with senior leadership, providing independent decision-making and follow up. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

You Will Be Responsible For

Serve as a member of the AdventHealth Orlando Corporate Responsibility Department leadership team and support the RCRO with implementation of the AdventHealth Corporate Responsibility Program.

  • Interact with individuals at all levels of the organization: executive leadership, management, staff, medical staff, and third parties, including Federal and state government representatives, and law enforcement representatives.
  • Coordinate meetings of, and presentations and reports for, the AdventHealth Orlando Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee which meets on a quarterly basis.
  • Assist with Corporate Responsibility education and training initiatives at the regional level, including but not limited to, delivery and tracking of annual team member and leadership training, development and delivery of specialized or department-specific training as needed, and communications and follow-up related to education and training activities.
  • Collaborate with the RCRO and Director, Monitoring & Auditing on AdventHealth Corporate Responsibility Work Plan and internal and external monitoring and auditing activities.
  • Contribute to regional and company-wide compliance risk assessment activities.
  • Under the direction of and in collaboration with the RCRO, lead AdventHealth Orlando compliance inquiry and investigations activities for response to compliance questions, concerns, and alleged violations of rules, regulations, policies, procedures or the AdventHealth code of conduct. Duties include, but are not limited to, handling the intake of matters reported through the AdventHealth Guideline or other available reporting mechanisms, responding to general compliance inquiries, designing and conducting compliance investigations, and documenting in the centralized AdventHealth Corporate Responsibility system(s).
  • Collaborate with other regional Corporate Responsibility teams and operational departments to direct compliance issues to appropriate existing channels for investigation and resolution.
  • Collaborate with departments such as Human Resources, Health Information Management, Revenue Cycle, and Risk Management to share information and facilitate appropriate response and corrective action related to reported and investigated matters.
  • Collaborate with internal and external counsel as necessary on the resolution of compliance issues or investigations.
  • Serve as the primary AdvenHealth Orlando Corporate Responsibility Department designee for the AdventHealth Contract Review Process. Review physician and other contracts required for which Corporate Responsibility review is required, participate in routine AdventHealth contract review team meetings, and collaborate with Legal, Tax, Risk, and operational leaders as needed related to this process.

Qualifications

What You Will Need:

Education Required

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field, OR
  • 7 years health care compliance experience
  • Certification in Health Care Compliance or Certification eligible, and certification obtained within 1-Year
  • Ability to operate successfully in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
  • Requires broad management and leadership experience to lead teams in a job family group and/or job family; possesses advanced experience and skills within a specifical technical skillset with broad understanding of other functional areas
