Revology Cars is hiring a Director of Product Develop ment at the Orlando , F lorida facility where we build new Ford – licen sed reproduction 1965-68 Mustang and Shelby GT automobiles

  • To be successful in this role, the candidate must have experience leading a diverse team of experienced and apprentice automotive design engineers at an OEM

  • ABOUT THE JOB Th e Director of Product Development will oversee all aspects of vehicle development throughout the entire product devel opment lifecycle, from concept to production
  • Key responsibilities include: Lead and inspire a diverse cross-functional team of employee and subcontractor engineers, designers, and technicians
  • Develop employee career planning and training plans , coach and mentor employees
  • Develop strategies for and implement p eople, product and process robustness and continuous improvement methodolo gies
  • Develop and manage the budget and timelines for product development projects, ensuring optional resource utilization and timely and cost-effective product delivery. Regularly communicate project status, challenges, and successes to executive leadership and other stakeholders
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Establish and maintain rigorous quality standards for products, ensuring they meet or exceed industry benchmarks. Implement testing , engineering verification and production validation processes to guarantee product quality and reliability. Drive a ‘design for assembly ‘ and customer – focused culture within the product development organization. Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising product quality and reliability
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation in product development. Stay informed about and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards and w ork closely with legal and regulatory affairs teams to navigate and adhere to relevant guidelines. REQUIREMENTS BS in engineering is required , MS preferred. Minimum 10 years of OEM experience in automotive engineering and product development. Strong engineering background with practical and theoretical knowledge of automotive vehicles and systems
  • High familiarity with s ystems e ngineering and trade-off methodologies
  • Proven leadership and team management skills. Ability to effectively communicate and interact with company and external personnel. Self-starter with ability to prioritize and be c omfortable with multiple and highly flexible job tasks. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Knowledge and use of APQP process , Lean Manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies. Familiarity with Catia V5 , VXelements , and Geomagic Design X and Control X
  • PAY AND BENEFITS $ 175-225 k base salary, de pend ent on skills and experience. Up to 25 % performance bonus based on achievement of individual and company objectives
