As the Director, Sales Excellence – EMEA, you will shape and execute sales excellence strategies to optimize productivity and efficiency across the region. Leading the regional sales manager network, you will foster collaboration, drive sales KPIs, and implement best practices. You will work closely with EMEA Sales Leaders, Marketing, Global Sales Excellence, and Regional Directors to align sales strategies and methodologies while ensuring the seamless adoption of CRM tools and sales frameworks.
The Sales Excellence Director is accountable for ensuring Cochlear’s sales methodologies and the Salesforce.com CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system are fully embraced and integrated into the daily activities of the EMEA customer facing teams. Additionally, the role includes the development, deployment, and reinforcement of the new field force induction process across the EMEA region.

Key Responsibilities
Champion Field Force Induction & Sales Training
  • Design and implement regional sales training programs aligned with global strategies.
  • Oversee the onboarding of customer-facing teams, ensuring rapid competency development.
  • Embed sales methodologies into field-facing activities to drive success.
  • Partner with global and regional stakeholders to deliver impactful training materials.
  • Facilitate best practice sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Lead CRM & Salesforce.com Adoption
  • Establish a shared vision for CRM tools to enhance sales efficiency.
  • Drive Salesforce.com adoption across EMEA, ensuring integration into daily sales operations.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Marketing leaders to define CRM KPIs and training plans.
  • Develop CRM reporting and analytics to support strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor compliance and optimize CRM processes across the region.
Optimize Sales Effectiveness & Product Launches
  • Oversee the development and execution of sales plays and enablement tools.
  • Align sales teams with marketing strategies to maximize customer engagement.
  • Provide insights on product launch strategies and sales effectiveness.
  • Organize sales leadership meetings to strengthen collaboration and synergies.
  • Ensure sales enablement tools support successful product launches.
Build Data-Driven Sales Analytics Capabilities
  • Develop robust reporting dashboards for sales and key account performance.
  • Leverage CRM data to improve segmentation, targeting, and sales insights.
  • Use business analytics to inform commercial decision-making and resource allocation.
  • Regularly assess and report on Salesforce.com usage and effectiveness.
Regional Sales Excellence Leadership
  • Lead and develop a high-performing EMEA Regional Sales Excellence team.
  • Drive alignment between regional and global sales excellence strategies.
  • Establish and manage KPIs for sales excellence programs.
  • Support cross-functional collaboration for sales improvement initiatives.
  • Travel up to 30% for field coaching and stakeholder engagement.
What We’re Looking For. As we grow our operations, we are looking for people who share our passion for delivering quality hearing solutions to our customers. To add value to Cochlear in this role, you’ll be able to demonstrate the following skills and experience:
Essential Requirements:
  • Degree in marketing, business, or related technology field.
  • 5+ years of sales experience in medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or technology.
  • 3+ years in senior sales management, product management, or business leadership.
  • Expertise in sales processes, CRM tools, and analytics (Salesforce.com preferred).
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Desirable.
  • Postgraduate degree in marketing or business.
  • Experience in Asia-Pacific or EMEA B2B/B2C sales environments.
  • Familiarity with Miller Heiman or equivalent sales methodologies.
  • Previous experience in adult training within a commercial setting.
Region-specific Requirements:
  • Flexible working hours to address time differences across the region.
  • Ability and willingness to travel locally and internationally
