We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Solutions Architecture to lead and develop our solutions architecture team. The ideal candidate will be a technology visionary with a proven track record of delivering complex, large-scale solutions to meet client needs, drive business transformation, and enhance operational efficiency. In this role, you will be responsible for defining and leading the architecture strategy, designing innovative technical solutions while engaging clients, and building a high performance team by attracting and retaining top talent.

What You’ll Do

• Leadership & Team Management:
• Lead and mentor a high-performing team of solutions architects to ensure effective solution design and delivery.
• Transform a collaborative and innovative culture within the team, encouraging continuous learning and ingenuity.
• Collaborate closely with senior leadership, including engineering, product, and sales teams, to align on strategic initiatives and objectives.
• Lead the prioritization and management of architecture-related tasks, balancing business needs, client requirements, and technical feasibility to ensure timely delivery of high-impact solutions.
• Solution Design & Architecture:
• Define and implement end-to-end architecture strategies for enterprise-scale RFID, AIDC, Mobility, and Printing solutions.
• Provide technical direction on customer solutions, ensuring they are scalable, secure, cost-effective, and aligned with best practices.
• Oversee the development of high-level and detailed architecture diagrams, technical documentation, and design specifications.
• Lead the evaluation and selection of new technologies, platforms, and tools to solve complex customer challenges.
• Client Focus:
• Work closely with clients, product managers, and business analysts to understand their requirements and design tailored client focused solutions that meet their business needs.
• Lead technical discussions with clients to ensure that solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements (e.g., scalability, performance, security).
• Engage in pre-sales activities, providing technical expertise and solution presentations to potential clients.
• Technology Strategy & Innovation:
• Stay ahead of emerging technology trends and industry best practices to continuously evolve the company’s solution offerings.
• Contribute to the strategic planning of the company’s technology roadmap and innovation initiatives.
• Provide insights on technology direction and best practices to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
• Project Oversight & Quality Assurance:
• Ensure the successful execution of solution delivery by overseeing architecture governance, implementation timelines, and resources.
• Work with project managers to identify potential risks and roadblocks, ensuring that they are proactively addressed.
• Monitor the performance and quality of deployed solutions and provide ongoing support to ensure client satisfaction.
• Budget & Resource Management:
• Assist in managing the architecture team’s budget, resources, and capacity to meet organizational goals.
• Help drive cost-effective solutions that align with the company’s financial objectives while maintaining the highest standards of quality.

What You’ll Need 

• Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience:
• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions architecture, or related roles, with a proven record of success in large-scale enterprise solution delivery.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role developing and managing high-performing teams.
• Subject Matter Expertise within RFID, AIDC, Mobility, Printing, and other industry-specific categories.
• Strong experience in designing scalable, secure, and high-performance systems across multiple industries.
• Experience with agile development methodologies and DevOps practices.
• Strong leadership and team building skills with a demonstrated ability to manage, build, and motivate technical teams.
• Excellent negotiation, communication and presentation skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and tactically.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for architecture frameworks.
