Job Summary:
The Division Financial Controller position requires a highly motivated professional that directly report to the Division President (DP) with savvy financial, analytical and business skills and a demonstrated ability to establish excellent working relationships with RVP, RDO and team members at the unit level, as well as client and the senior Morrison leaders. Expert level technical abilities with software such as Excel and internal Compass software financial applications is expected. Additional responsibilities include but not limited to the following:
Focusing on the financial aspects of business operations, measuring the impact of operational accounting activities and identifying key performance indicators (KPIs). Sharing the information with the DP, as well as corporate/Atlanta office, and relevant management personnel as requested by DP. The primary functions of Division Business Analysis (BA) include informing, directing, assessing financial controls, forecasting, planning, and mitigating risks while creating opportunities. This role requires travel to multiple work sites.
Responsibilities:
- Collecting, organizing, analyzing, preparing, and presenting qualitative and quantitative data that will be presented in multiple formats to achieve understanding by multiple targeted audiences as is requested by DP, the client, and other key constituencies
- Assisting corporate accounting in monthly revenue, expense, and PBO forecasting that is driven from monthly trends as well as operational activities & needs
- Conducting and organizing weekly planning for timely monthly financial reporting to DP
- Monitoring internal controls and financial opportunities and risk associated with contractual obligations
- Visiting, or setting up Zoomcalls with RDOs, unit(s) management, as needed for coaching
- Sharing best practices or teaching financial tools that will ensure Morrison financial success
- Maintaining and updating all monthly financial data/files that will focus on the financial aspect of running the business
- Understanding and establishing a good working relationship with Atlanta/Corporate accountingand Hospital C suite
- Assisting in the coordination of the annual budgeting process & Year over year (YOY) growth
- Preparing and presenting to DP any additional ad hoc financial reporting that is requested by client, or corporate finance and accounting
- Assisting region operational controller for aggregating & preparing system level financials roll up for weekly/monthly financial calls
Requirements:
- Four-year degree in accounting or Finance
- 5+ years accounting/finance experience for a multifaceted/ large corporation.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Strong Microsoft Excel/Access skills
- Experience in a deadline driven environment
- Ability to adjust to changing priorities
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks/priorities
- Professional demeanor and presentation
- Travel is required to multiple work sites
