Engineering Director

Job Summary

Engineering Director needed for an immediate opening in Houston TX. This person will play a critical role in a large electronics environment leading team members skilled in Quality Engineering, Test Engineering, Process Engineering and Electrical Engineering. In order to be successful in this role candidates will need to work closely with internal stakeholders and clients. Ideal candidates will have at least 8 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities

  • Lead the Engineering, Process Improvement and Quality organization by setting clear expectations and objectives, and managing performance accordingly.
  • Define and oversee the full lifecycle of projects from ideation through deployment and ongoing monitoring.
  • Manage supplier quality assurance programs and evaluate supplier performance.
  • Partner with Senior Leadership to set strategic direction and adapt priorities based on customer requirements and corporate goals related to quality and operational efficiency.
  • Plan, manage, and prioritize project schedules, coordinating with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement robust engineering processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices to ensure consistent, high-quality execution.
  • Prepare and deliver technical presentations for customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Forecast and manage capital and labor budgets for the engineering organization, identifying and driving productivity improvements.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams, including senior engineers and managers.
