Job Description

Data Engineering

• Develop, manage, and support data models and aggregation frameworks aligned with business needs, including corresponding ETL processes.
• Ensure high data quality and system uptime to support mission-critical business functions.
• Manage and enhance the enterprise data lake and regional data streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka).
• Design and maintain scalable data pipelines and APIs to accommodate growing data needs.
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to refine data models that support BI tools and drive decision-making.
• Write automated tests, document work, and contribute to team knowledge bases.
• Partner with engineering, product, and analyst teams to deliver comprehensive data solutions.
• Define and manage data assets across platforms such as Azure SQL and MongoDB.
• Build frameworks for data quality, integration, and lineage tracking using both open-source and third-party tools.
• Align data platform architecture with evolving business requirements.
• Support digital transformation initiatives by ensuring proper data integration and structure across projects.
• Design and deliver reports, dashboards, and datasets per user requirements and maintain related repositories.

Data Governance

• Develop and enforce data governance policies across the organization.
• Lead coordination efforts for data governance initiatives across departments.
• Supervise data stewardship efforts to ensure high data quality standards.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and data handling standards.
• Conduct training and awareness sessions on data governance practices and their value to the organization.

The Successful Applicant

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; a business background is an advantage.
• Proven experience in data engineering and strong understanding of Agile methodologies.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation capabilities.
• Strong communication and customer service orientation.
• 10+ years of experience in SQL; familiarity with NoSQL technologies is a plus.
• Experience in building and maintaining ETL processes, data lakes, and data warehouses.
• Skilled in creating dashboards and visualizations using Microsoft Power BI.
• In-depth knowledge of data governance practices and tools, including metadata management and compliance.
• Comfortable working across IT and business units to enforce data accuracy and governance.
