Head of Marketing

About Conduit

Conduit is a shipping and receiving operating system transforming logistics operations for warehouses, distribution centers, and 3PLs. We help logistics teams replace fragmented workflows—spreadsheets, emails, clipboards—with a modern, unified system of record that brings clarity and control to their operations.

Our mission is to be the “Air Traffic Control” for warehouses, orchestrating inbound and outbound movement with precision, visibility, and speed. Our platform is modular and multi-product by design, giving customers the flexibility to adopt Conduit in stages. That approach delivers unmatched value—but also introduces complexity in how we position, package, and communicate our offering.

As our first marketing hire, you’ll define how we tell this story. You’ll build the foundation for positioning a multi-product platform across buyer personas, verticals, and adoption paths—translating product advantage into market momentum.

We’ve already grown to hundreds of warehouses and thousands of users with zero churn and almost no marketing. Now we’re scaling—and looking for a strategic marketer to own and operationalize our go-to-market engine.

About The Role

We’re looking for a product marketing–led generalist who also has experience in demand gen to build and lead the marketing function from scratch. You’ll report directly to the founder, and be an essential member of our early team. If you’re excited to build from scratch, move quickly, and want to join a startup modernizing an industry still largely run with disparate, disconnected systems (sometimes even pen/paper), this is a great opportunity.

This is a high-impact, high-autonomy role for someone who wants to set strategy and execute at speed.

What You’ll Do

Product Marketing

  • Positioning & Messaging: Own and evolve our product narrative. Translate technical capabilities into clear, compelling messaging that resonates with logistics operators and decision-makers.
  • ICP & Persona Development: Build a deep understanding of our buyers and users to inform GTM, content, and outbound strategy.
  • Customer Testimonials: Own execution of our customer stories. Capture and package them as written and video testimonials, quotes, and proof points for use across the funnel. This is critical in our space.
  • Product & Feature Launches: Lead launch strategy and execution across product, sales, and customer success.
  • Sales Enablement: Create materials—decks, one-pagers, battlecards, ROI tools—to support conversion and objection handling.

Lifecycle, Email & Content

  • Email Marketing: Own all outbound and lifecycle email—including cold outreach, drip sequences, newsletters, and product announcements. Manage strategy, content, and tooling.
  • Content Strategy: Define our editorial calendar. Write and/or manage contractors to produce content that builds credibility and drives engagement.
  • LinkedIn Channel: Run Conduit’s LinkedIn presence—create and distribute content that supports awareness, engagement, and talent attraction.

Demand Gen & Events

  • Outbound & ABM: Use tools and AI to identify and target key accounts with personalized campaigns.
  • Conference Strategy: Own our event playbook. Drive pre-show targeting, in-show engagement, and post-show follow-up to maximize ROI.
  • Marketing Ops: Stand up and connect our foundational tools and processes (CRM, attribution, automation).
  • Not all of these are expected to be done at once. We’ll work together to prioritize the highest leverage areas and pull in additional resources as needed.

You’ll Excel in This Role If You…

  • 5+ years of marketing experience, including at vertical SaaS companies and early to growth-stage startups
  • Have built positioning, messaging, and GTM programs from the ground up
  • Scrappiness and experimentation mindset. You’re comfortable rolling up your sleeves, since we are still an early-stage company. You will be an IC first.
  • Experience hiring and managing agencies, contractors, and full-time employees.
  • You know how to balance short-term goals and long-term goals.
  • You have recommendations for tools, contractors, etc to build out the foundation of a marketing team that can scale effectively.
  • You use modern tools and AI for video and content creation, sourcing data, outbound and campaigns, design, etc.
  • Excited to learn more about our ICP and industry: logistics, supply chain, ops, shipping–and bonus if you already have experience here!
  • Know how to capture and leverage customer testimonials as strategic assets
  • Are excited to help shape how a modular, multi-product platform goes to market
