About Our Client

Our client is a reputable European Bank with global exposure and is looking for someone with a strong background in Client Onboarding, AML and FCC to manage the entire onboarding and client review spectrum of the operations in Singapore

Job Description

  • Manage the Client Onboarding team of 3-4 staff in Singapore, ensuring team are skilled on CDD and AML.
  • Manage the productivity and quality of the team, via monthly MI and scores from various assurance teams.
  • Produce quality checks on the team’s work and identifying areas for improvement when required.
  • Front various internal and external stakeholders, including the Front line team, Compliance, Global teams and auditors
  • Ensure the onboarding, periodic review, and trigger event of Corporate Clients in Asia, are all completed in a timely manner
  • Oversee the Transaction Monitoring and Name Screening alerts for Singapore, with escalation to Compliance and local management, as required.
  • Co-ordinate and check the quality of the files, which are required to be presented to the Asia Client Committee for Singapore.
  • Manage the annual FATCA/CRS process for Singapore.
  • Manage the annual external audit on for Singapore.
  • Compile monthly MI required for all the branch’s leadership team.
  • Sign-off on all procedures and outsourcing documentation specific to Singapore.
  • Manage the gap analysis process for new standards and procedures.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 10 years experience in AML/KYC and Onboarding and CDD reviews in Corporate Banking
  • Experience in line management, with demonstrated ability to manage and motivate teams
  • Experienced presenter to senior management, with ability to succinctly explain any issues and how to resolve them.
  • Sound understanding of various risk elements driving the overall CDD risk of large corporate clients.
  • Ability to identify potential issues and escalate accordingly.
