Head of Spread Products & CBG Strategy

  • Commercial Banking Strategy & Pricing:
    • Develop and execute pricing strategies for commercial banking deposit and loan products, leveraging market trends, competitor analysis, banker and customer insights to ensure a balance of competitiveness, profitability, and customer value.
    • Proactively monitor pricing performance, providing actionable recommendations for optimization.
    • Structure and lead a commercial banking loan and deposit pricing approval process aligned with market competitiveness and business profitability.
    • Collaborate with finance and risk management teams to align pricing with profitability goals.
    • Lead strategy to develop and execute on growth strategies for commercial banking which would include assessing new geographic markets, new verticals, and new product capabilities.
  • Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate Risk:
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive product cross-sell strategy for commercial banking, particularly developing strategies to engage with sales teams to increase the product penetration to existing and prospective clients for foreign exchange and interest rate hedging products, and grow revenue related to those products.
    • Partner with third party service providers (e.g. correspondent banking partners) to ensure that Bank of Hope has optimal services and capabilities for bankers and clients.
    • Collaborate seamlessly with cross-functional teams to ensure products align with market demands, adhere to regulatory standards, and function seamlessly with
    • Utilize comprehensive market research to identify opportunities for continual product enhancement and innovation.
  • Strategic Business Growth:
    • Stay at the forefront of industry trends, competitor offerings, and market dynamics.
    • Conduct competitor analysis, identifying immediate opportunities for differentiation and improvement.
  • Collaborate Partnerships:
    • Drive the integration of new banking solutions and strategies into product offerings and capabilities, ensuring alignment with customer preferences and industry advancements.
    • Collaborate with banking teams to analyze banking trends and customer behaviors to optimize product strategies and pricing models.
    • Foster and maintain strong and effective relationships with marketing, finance, digital banking, treasury management, and sales/front line teams to ensure alignment with overall commercial banking strategy.
    • Lead cross-functional initiatives to align product and pricing strategies with overarching business objectives.
  • Regulatory Adherence:
    • Maintain awareness of regulatory changes affecting commercial banking products and pricing.
    • Ensure all products and pricing design adhere to legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Develop and track key performance indicators to measure the success and effectiveness of product and pricing strategies.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Undertake other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success and effectiveness of the commercial bank.
    • Provide ad-hoc support to various projects or initiatives that align with the organization’s strategic goals.

Job Qualifications/Requirements

  • Required: Minimum 10 years of escalating commercial banking experience, including leading a commercial banking strategy team at a regional or national commercial bank.
  • In-depth knowledge of banking laws and regulations.
  • Strong understanding of commercial banking strategy and product needs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with all internal and external stakeholders effectively.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, presentation, and collaborative skills to work effectively with teams throughout organization.
  • Creative, forward thinker adept at developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
  • Ability to communicate appropriately and effectively with all members of the organization.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.

The salary range for this full-time position is $300,000.00 – $325,000.00 + bonus + benefits

Salary ranges are determined based on qualifications, level, and location.
