The Commercial Function spans the areas of Commercial, Strategy, Public & Governmental Affairs, Defense Affairs, Sustainability, and Marketing. You will serve as a key member of the unit working closely with colleagues within and across functions and divisions for the benefit of SSC Group.
YOUR ROLE
As Head of Strategy at SSC, you will play a key role in shaping the company’s future direction and enabling the achievement of our group-wide financial targets. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer (CCO), you will lead the group strategy and strategic business development efforts, driving both long-term direction and short-term impact.
You will act as a strategic partner to senior leaders across divisions and functions, while also working hands-on to turn plans into actions. This is a role for someone who enjoys moving between high-level strategic thinking and operational execution – from preparing insights for the Executive Committee and Board, to facilitating and synthesizing workshops, driving processes, and implementing initiatives in close collaboration with key stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Shaping and implementing SSC group strategy to drive profitable growth.
- Leading the annual group strategy process and supporting execution, including gathering and consolidating strategy collateral across the organization.
- Conducting internal and external analyses (market, competitors, internal company, risks) to support insight-driven decisions.
- Driving strategic work efforts and aligning group functions and divisions, across geographies.
- Collaborating with Marketing, Sales/Business Development, Product Development, and other departments to evaluate and realize new business opportunities for SSC group.
- Leading strategic projects and initiatives to support profitable growth, innovation and operational excellence as per needs basis
- Supporting business planning, financial & performance management and securing alignment between these and thegroup strategy process .
- Conducting commercial analysis including key sales/financial performance metrics and market developments in collaboration with other departments
- Preparing and presenting strategic content and insights to Executive Management, Board and other stakeholders.

We Believe You Bring
- A university degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field – or equivalent education and experience.
- +10 years experience from strategic leadership roles as well as sales or business development experience, ideally in complex international organizations.
- Solid track record of driving strategy/transformation, preferably from the space industry or related tech sectors.
- A deep understanding of strategic processes, business models, commercials and sales/financial performance indicators.
- Experience in change management, leading cross-functional initiatives and working with senior stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on, pragmatic customer-centric approach.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken; additional European language skills are a plus.

LOCATION
This is a permanent, full-time position based in either Solna or Kiruna, Sweden.
