This Team Lead Role is responsible for managing a dedicated N4 team within a specified functional cluster, overseeing IT operations and ensuring quality delivery. The role involves collecting, designing and managing IT changes to align with business goals, effectively bridging business and IT.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Strategic IT Leadership: Align IT initiatives with business goals, manage strategic planning and execution, ensure effective budgeting and resource allocation, and define the vision and strategic direction for a set of applications to ensure it aligns with business goals.
  • Solution Lifecycle Management: Translate business needs into technical solutions by partnering with stakeholders, and oversee the entire lifecycle of software applications from development and deployment to maintenance and eventual decommissioning in a complex environment.
  • Team Development and Talent Acquisition: Direct and develop IT teams, enhance skills, and collaborate with HR for talent recruitment and retention.
  • Vendor and Service Management: Oversee vendor relationships and service delivery, ensuring quality, performance and adherence to contracts.
  • Project and Financial Oversight: Facilitate project management, control IT spending and ensure projects and operations are delivered within budget and operational standards.
  • Application Performance and Support: Lead application support teams, monitor performance, drive continuous improvement of IT services, ensure the application meets non-functional requirements, make decisions about enhancements, scaling, or optimization, ensure smooth daily operations and interface monitoring, and manage changes to the application and its configuration.
  • IT Architecture and Stability: Contribute to IT architecture strategy, ensure system reliability and security and plan for disaster recovery.
  • Compliance and Governance: Enforce policy compliance, maintain IT governance, manage financial discipline within IT operations, ensure the application complies with relevant laws, regulations, and security policies, and apply software updates and security patches to maintain system integrity and performance.
  • Risk, Security and Change Management: Manage IT risks, maintain secure operations and oversee change management for seamless technology integration.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

Professional Experience

Demonstrated leadership abilities in team management and development.

Proven experience in leading complex projects to successful completion.

Competence in IT management, covering both operational and strategic aspects.

In-depth understanding of service portfolios and the interaction of services within business areas.

Strong technical expertise in contemporary IT technologies, enabling effective support of business objectives.

Teamwork skills that foster a collaborative work environment.

At least 3 years of experience in IT operations and development.

Analytical mindset for problem-solving and decision-making.

Considerable technical expertise with regards to the assigned system

Ability to collaborate in teams & excellent communication skills

Ability to facilitate knowledge transfer

Experience in IT operations and ability to evaluate the impact of changes to the system and its environment

Experience with application servers (Wildfly, Tomcat, IIS) and operation servers

Knowledge in programming languages Knowledge of contemporary web) & concepts (e.g. EAI, SOA, MVC, micro services)

Proven record of managing complex applications

Leading and training Application Owners and developing the app management capability
