General Position Description:
This position is responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, administration, and training of all agency Information Technology (IT) systems to include the Electronic Health Record. The IT Director is responsible for managing the IT Team and for coordinating with agency leadership, managers, and staff ensuring all IT needs are met.
Performance Expectations and Competencies
Information Technology
a. Responsible for general oversight and operational readiness of agency IT hardware and software, in conjunction with contracted providers. This shall include, but is not limited to
Accountability and maintenance of individual computers, printers, monitors, servers, switches, routers, access points, phones, etc.
Develop and implement asset tracking system.
Data backup procedures.
Overall security and malware/virus protection.
Ensure adherence to all internal, mandated, and accrediting technology compliance requirements.
Visualize and present company analytics, regarding communication, technology, and cybersecurity.
Develop and adhere to IT budget, supporting all agency operations.
b. Demonstrates teamwork and maintains professional communication with all levels of the organization regarding status of IT systems, including both oral and written communication.
Provide input and guidance for IT team and systems which support agencies Core Values and Strategic Plan
Supervision and development of IT team.
Provide supervision, consultation, and performance management.
Ensure personal and professional growth.
Develop and adhere to accountability standards and expectations.
Develop and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Create, organize, and provide training and support to all staff.
Completes other projects as assigned by supervisor and/or Leadership Team.
Electronic Health Record
Responsible for all phases of data management, design, and administrations of the organization’s Electronic Health Record (EHR), EchoVantage
Develop and manage vendor relationship for support, updates, training, etc.
Maintain system security settings.
Setup new users/Terminate users.
Purge system usage.
Initiate and maintain dictionaries and tables.
Manage and maintain menus.
Manage audit trails.
Update and customize EHR products.
Maintain client, staff and user inquiries; develop ticketing system.
Create new forms and customize existing forms.
Create and maintain all reports.
Report definitions and abstracts.
Maintain error logs.
Manage workflows with input from clinical managers.
Monitor client alert and system use.
Make recommendations for system and operational enhancements.
Create strong working relationships with department managers and clinical staff, ensuring operational effectiveness and creating efficiencies.

General Knowledge and Skill:
Knowledge/Skill in information technology for a multi-site agency regularly transmitting secure patient information both inside and outside of the agency.
Knowledge/Skill in the use of written/verbal communication and in the ability to analyze business needs/issues and appropriately problem solve.
Minimum and Preferred Position Qualifications:
Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in a technology related field plus five (5) years of industry related experience and experience with assessment, implementation, and maintenance of an Electronic Medical/Health Record. Requires special technical knowledge of the techniques and procedures of server maintenance and configuration. Must understand deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, networking, and accessory equipment. Extensive knowledge of Microsoft 365 is necessary.
Preference given to candidates with experience in Structured Query Language (SQL), SQL Server Reporting Service (SSRS), and Form Designer.
Preference given to candidates with previous IT supervisory and/or mental health clinical services experience.
Additional Job Requirements (Licenses, Certifications, Personal Vehicle, etc.):
Required to be on-call and work hours necessary to keep all systems operational and functional.
Must have the ability to effectively hear and communicate with other employees and the public.
Must have reliable transportation, have/maintain a valid driver’s license, and maintain adequate automobile insurance.
Travel is required as part of this position.
Lifting and carrying up to 50lbs is required of this position.
