Your role

The role is part of the Nordic Leadership team (NLT), reporting to the Nordic General Manager. All members of the NLT play a pivotal role in driving LEO Nordic strategy and performance. We lead by example, setting clear direction and empower our teams to meet common KPIs.

Main objective is to lead development & implementation of the Market Access, pricing, reimbursement and External Affairs strategy for LEO Nordics. Secondly to lead and develop a team responsible for the development of coordinated strategies and tactics that deliver payer oriented value for LEO brands, ensuring access, funding and uptake for current strategic and future LEO products & services across the lifecycle. In short, ensure freedom to enter and operate in all Nordic healthcare markets to sell products and services, by ensuring market access support is in place across the product lifecycle to enable commercial success for all strategic and future products.

Additionally, the role involves spearheading external affairs strategies to raise disease awareness among key stakeholders, including patients, policymakers, and payers.

Leadership

  • Provide strategic and operational leadership to achieve timely patient access for the portfolio of innovative LEO products in the Nordic countries
  • Empower team to drive performance, meet financial targets, and challenge the status quo
  • Ensure collaboration across functions, and partner with global & regional teams on market access strategies.
  • Monitor key operational metrics, mitigate risks, and capitalize on opportunities. Maintain strong budget control.
  • Recruitment: development and retention of key talent within the Market Access Public Affairs team
  • Developing and maintaining a good understanding of the evolving access environment at national, regional and country level, translating that into impactful market access strategies for LEO products
  • Overseeing Identification and development of plans to strengthen LEO Pharma’s image on a Nordic level through value added programs and partnerships
  • Ensure and advocate compliance at all levels

Market Access

  • Leading the development and execution of robust pricing and market access strategies based on local market insights – that result in high-quality HTA submissions and local market access strategies that achieve timely access to medicines for patients (DK, SE, NO, FI & IS)
  • Lead pricing negotiations for new products with the relevant authorities and collaborate with the global team to manage International Reference Pricing (IRP) risks. .
  • Commissioning of market/pricing research in support of MA/HTA activities
  • Optimize value of LEO’s assets through localization of global materials and development of Nordic specific data and value materials as relevant
  • Translate scientific insights into impactful messages for stakeholders, addressing patient and payer needs.
  • Developing and managing productive relationships & company involvement with a broad spectrum of external stakeholders involved in the Market Access environment (e.g., patient groups, payers, Key External Experts)
  • Oversee team responsible for the development and management of the local market ac-cess relationships and activities with local and regional payers.
  • Identification of need for political support/voice for product/therapy area in relation to successful market access programmes.

External Affairs

  • Responsible for the ‘External Affairs’ activities within LEO Nordics
  • Advocate for patient needs, raise political awareness, and highlight the value of effective dermatology treatments
  • Work closely with the Nordic GM & Global External Affairs in representing LEO Nordics on key industry associations and other interest groups
  • Work closely with key industry associations to develop and implement strategies to pro-tect and improve the health care environment in a broad perspective
  • Play a key role in contributing to and shaping the future direction of Market Access & External Affairs in LEO Nordic directed by the global strategy

Your Qualifications

To succeed in this role, we imagine that you have the following qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Health Economics, Public Health or related discipline
  • 5+ years’ experience in Market Access in the pharmaceutical industry, with a comprehensive understanding of the pricing /reimbursement environment and the government / payer review process across the Nordic markets (DK, IS, SE, NO, FI)
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to convey scientific value arguments to non-health economists
  • Business acumen – a strong commercial mindset combined with a strong numeric skills and scientific understanding
  • Experience in leading a team of specialists and understand the importance of motivating and develop employees
  • Great collaborator and networker who knows to navigate in a Global organization and finds cross-functional collaboration motivating
  • Fluency in English (business/negotiation level).
