Job Title: Nurse Director (Labor & Delivery)

Job Summary:

As a Nurse Director working in Labor & Delivery, you will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and operations of the labor and delivery unit. You will ensure the highest quality of patient care and safety, as well as manage resources and budgets effectively to meet department goals and objectives.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff in labor and delivery
• Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure quality care delivery
• Monitor and evaluate patient outcomes and satisfaction
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care
• Manage staffing levels and schedules to ensure adequate coverage
• Implement and maintain quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in hiring, training, and performance evaluations of staff
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards

Qualifications and Skills:

• Current RN license
• BSN or MSN degree
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in labor and delivery
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to effectively manage resources and budgets
• Knowledge of labor and delivery best practices and standards
• BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
