A company is seeking a results-driven and strategic Vice President of Sales to lead the national growth efforts. The company has built something special in outdoor living solutions — now they need someone who can scale it, expand it, and close it.
This executive will spearhead initiatives aimed at market expansion, sales enablement, and closing performance gaps across all regions. The role requires a visionary leader who excels in developing scalable sales strategies, optimizing team performance, and equipping sales managers with the tools and training necessary to succeed in both established and emerging markets.
What You’ll Own:
Sales Enablement & Close Rate Optimization:
- Overhaul how we enable and equip our reps — content, tools, coaching.
- Build and refine sales enablement programs that enhance team performance and increase closing rates across all market segments.
- Implement tools, resources, and data-driven insights to support the full sales cycle, from prospecting to closing.
- Develop a sales operations framework to optimize territory coverage and forecasting accuracy.
- Continuously monitor Sales Management’s Team close ratios to identify trends, strengths, and areas for improvement.
- Conduct regular (daily) reviews of the Sales Management KPI Spreadsheet and Qlik dashboards.
- Ensure this is kept up to date
- Review YOY data daily
- Ensure alignment with monthly revenue targets, proactively addressing any gaps or pacing issues.
Market Expansion:
- Spot high-opportunity regions and build local go-to-market strategies that win.
- Forge key partnerships and expansion strategies to rapidly grow our footprint.
- Design and execute aggressive go-to-market strategies to enter and grow new territories.
- Develop regional playbooks to ensure consistent success across markets.
- Identify and nurture high-impact partnerships and distribution channels that accelerate geographic growth.
- Oversee all Outdoor Product Sales (including revenue from sister company outdoor sales)
Sales Leadership & Management Development:
- Coach and level up 4 sales managers
- Empower our sales manager to lead with data and make informed decisions based on performance metrics
- Main KPIs: Sales Revenue as compared to Marketing Spend, Sales Revenue as a % of total goal, Close Ratio, RPA
- Roll out leadership development and onboarding programs that scale.
- Set goals, drive accountability, and turn managers into true business leaders.
- Design structured leadership training programs that build managerial capabilities and ensure scalability.
- Provide direct leadership, mentorship, and accountability to sales managers, focusing on leadership growth and team development.
- Cultivate a proactive, feedback-rich culture that fosters continuous improvement and accountability.
- Promote the sharing of best practices across markets to build a high performing, aligned leadership team.
- Coach and oversee Sales Management who directly oversees appointment setting
- Monitor call to appointment conversion ratio, appointments generated, sit ratios, etc.
Marketing That Drives Revenue:
- Align marketing efforts with sales goals in collaboration with 3DB.
- Work side by side with marketing team who oversee content, digital campaigns, SEO, incremental media and social that generate real pipeline.
- Oversee Content Creator & approve social content
- Align marketing campaigns with expansion and sales enablement goals to drive high-quality lead generation.
- Oversee the integration of marketing and sales systems (CRM, analytics, lead scoring) for cohesive execution.
Cross-Functional Growth Leadership:
- Partner with People Ops, Production, Business Ops, and Customer Success to ensure alignment & seamless execution of market growth initiatives.
- Collaborate with Production Team as necessary to ensure revenue is in line with Installation expectations
- Build sales forecasts and performance dashboards that drive smart decisions.
- Collaborate with CEO to establish KPIs, market-specific budgets, and performance dashboards.
Who You Are:
- 10+ years in sales + marketing leadership roles, ideally in home services or related industries.
- Proven success launching new markets and boosting sales team close rates.
- You’ve built and led high-performing, multi-region sales orgs.
- Data-driven operator: you know your metrics, and how to move them.
- Strong grasp of sales enablement, CRM, digital marketing, and leadership coaching.
- A builder’s mindset — scrappy, agile, and ready to roll up your sleeves.
- Experience scaling in the home improvement or outdoor living industries.
- Familiarity with tools like Salesforce, Google Ads, or analytics dashboards.
- A network of high-performing sales talent or potential partners.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $160,000.00 – $185,000.00 per year
