Restaurant Head Chef – Multi Cuisine

Job Summary:

We are looking for a talented and experienced Head Chef with expertise in multi-cuisine cooking to lead our kitchen team. The ideal candidate is passionate about culinary excellence, innovative in their approach, and capable of managing a diverse menu featuring global flavors. You will be responsible for overseeing daily kitchen operations, maintaining the highest food quality standards, and ensuring an exceptional dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and execute a multi-cuisine menu featuring Indian, Asian, Continental, Mediterranean, and/or other international dishes.
  • Lead, train, and manage the kitchen brigade to ensure smooth operations during service.
  • Oversee food preparation, portioning, and presentation to maintain consistent quality.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards in the kitchen at all times.
  • Collaborate with the management team on menu pricing, food cost control, and seasonal offerings.
  • Source quality ingredients and establish relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Monitor kitchen inventory and ensure efficient stock rotation and waste management.
  • Develop new dishes, seasonal menus, and signature items to keep the offering fresh and exciting.
  • Maintain a positive and professional kitchen environment that supports team growth and efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Culinary degree or diploma from a recognized institution.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Chef, with at least 2 years in a Head Chef or Sous Chef role.
  • Proven expertise in multi-cuisine cooking; experience in fine dining or upscale casual dining is a plus.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of kitchen operations, budgeting, and cost control.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple orders during peak hours.
  • Creative flair with a keen eye for presentation and detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • International kitchen experience or exposure to global culinary trends.
  • Knowledge of nutrition, dietary restrictions, and allergen management.
  • Basic computer skills for inventory and reporting systems.
