Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of recruiters to meet hiring goals and objectives across both branches of the organization – general practice and emergency hospitals.
- Develop, implement, and train to best practices for sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates.
- Evaluate and optimize recruitment tools and technologies.
- Monitor recruitment metrics and provide regular reports to senior leadership.
- Spearhead veterinarian, practice manager, and paraprofessional recruiting efforts, including conducting interviews, guiding candidates through the hiring process, and negotiating offers.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, actively participating in strategy development and serving as a key leader.
- Partner with the executive team to establish recruitment targets and work closely with the Chief Veterinary Officer and Director of Operations to achieve them.
- Provide clear direction to ensure collective achievement of goals and objectives, while monitoring performance and providing support and guidance to team members.
- Foster a culture of respect, collaboration, and open communication within the recruiting team and across the organization.
- Identify and cultivate sourcing pipelines through various methods such as networking, referrals, marketing, direct sourcing, conferences, and career fairs.
- Develop metrics to measure recruiting effectiveness and provide insights to inform strategic adjustments. Regularly report on results.
- Continuously enhance the candidate experience, striving to create a best-in-class recruitment process.

Experience
- Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in full-cycle recruiting, with at least 3 years in a leadership or people management role.
- Experience in professional services or veterinary industry recruitment is highly preferred.
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Master’s Degree preferred
