Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Lead and manage end-to-end warehouse operations across multiple sites (multi-client).
- Ensure standardized SOP implementation across all warehouses.
- Monitor key performance metrics (KPIs) including inventory accuracy, order fulfillment, TAT, productivity, and space utilization.
Client Management
- Act as the key contact for client operations teams, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded.
- Develop customized solutions based on client-specific needs.
- Conduct periodic client reviews, audits, and performance discussions.
People Management
- Lead and mentor a team of regional and site warehouse managers.
- Build high-performance teams; drive engagement, training, and performance evaluation.
- Ensure staffing and shift management align with client volumes and SLA requirements.
Process Optimization
- Drive lean warehousing initiatives and continuous improvement projects (5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
- Implement automation, WMS, and digital tracking where applicable.
- Identify and resolve bottlenecks and inefficiencies proactively.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) norms, and internal compliance.
- Monitor and implement best practices for material handling, storage, and movement.
Cost Control & Budgeting
- Optimize operational costs while maintaining service quality.
- Develop and manage warehouse budgets, including manpower, infrastructure, and technology.
Strategic Planning
- Support the business development team with technical inputs during client onboarding.
- Participate in the design and expansion of warehouse networks and layout optimization.
Qualifications & Experience
- Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related fields.
- 12+ years of experience in warehouse/logistics operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role handling multiple sites.
- Proven experience in managing multi-client warehouse environments (preferably in 3PL or e-commerce sector).
- Strong knowledge of WMS, TMS, and other digital warehouse solutions.
- Six Sigma/Lean/Kaizen certifications are a plus.
