Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Site Director to oversee our biotechnology operations, including production, laboratory, warehouse, and all other expansion activities on the site. The Site Director will also focus on forming a team of manufacturing technicians and ensuring the efficient and compliant production of biotechnological products. This role offers an exciting opportunity to take part in the company’s strategic US expansion process .

Essential Functions

  • Propose and/or execute the plan of local initiation and expansion of production, laboratory, and warehouse capacity and capabilities according to the company’s strategic intention
  • Supervise daily operational activities of different functions
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the early-stage manufacturing team on plan adjustment/adaptation, function formation, and team maturation
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, e.g, GMP or other quality guidelines, and company policies and procedures for all on-site activities
  • Monitor operational processes to ensure alignment with company requirements, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective and preventive actions to enhance efficiency and productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including quality assurance, engineering, and supply chain, to address production issues especially and achieve operational goals
  • Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, innovation, and positive workplace behaviors
  • Lead organizational and talent development, with a focus on strengthening leadership capabilities
  • Champion the company’s core values, promoting ethical behavior and best practices
  • Plan and oversee lab design and facility management to ensure optimal operational efficiency and safety
  • Other projects or responsibilities as may be required

Minimum Qualifications – Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related Life Science.
  • 10+ years of experience in a biotech operation, manufacturing, or similar environment.
  • 5+ years of management experience, overseeing multiple direct reports.
  • Operational and business/plant startup experience
  • Expertise in organizational development, talent management, and leadership growth.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin is required

Preferred Qualifications – Education And Experience

  • Advanced degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or related Life Science, or a degree in Business
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams within complex matrix organizations.
  • Strong background in LEAN methodologies, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

  • Decision-making based on logical reasoning and sound judgment.
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Salary Range $120,000-$160,000 DOE + Bonus

Location: Newark, Delaware
