Job Description
The position of Sr. Director, Contract Management Office, will lead a team of procurement and contracting professionals overseeing a high-volume contracting operation and will play a fundamental role in architecting and advancing the next phase of our contract management office lifecycle journey.
Over The Past Two Years, In Partnership With The Legal, Compliance, Security, And Privacy Teams, For Professional Service, Software, Construction, And Marketing Agreement Requests, We Have Centralized And Automated Contract Intake, Drove Adherence To Standard Terms, And Released New Policies. We Next Intend To Expand The Program To Cover Additional Comcast Buying Categories Creating An Integrated Request, Contacting And Management Experience By
- Simplifying and integrating the contracting ecosystem
- Leveraging intelligence-powered supplier segmentation rules engines
- Integrating supplier risk methodologies and assessment repositories
- Simplifying contract authoring by expanding use of clause libraries
- Proactive agreement refresh management
- Expanding obligations and compliance management
The Contract Management Office is a key enabler to product and project delivery and is designed to balance a customer experience and a delivery mindset with necessary due diligence, risk mitigation and contracting expectations.
Once the program is fully implemented and the expected results are achieved, we will look to expand to other Comcast geographies and entities like NBCU and Sky.
Core Responsibilities
- Manage a team of procurement professionals to assess, disposition, and contract with new supplier requests
- Oversee the agreement refresh program to ensure agreements provisions remain current
- Lead the evolution of the Contract Management Office program
- Manage request segmentation to ensure most critical supplier requests are prioritized
- Develop change management and adoption processes to facilitate internal customer awareness and understanding to support program’s objectives
- Create a team culture which is heavily process centric but with an awareness of project deliverables and expectations
- Partner with procurement category leads to develop, maintain, and enhance supplier segmentation and categorization strategies to drive program operations
- Monitor risk, compliance, and delivery elements to determine agreement refresh cycles
- Refine, review, and report on program objectives, metrics, and results
Qualifications
- Proven experiences building and leading a global contract management office
- Demonstrated success leading high-volume operations driven by consistent processes, policies and managing stakeholder engagement
- Six Sigma or similarly trained experiences
- Expert knowledge of contracting and legal principles
- Familiarly with Procurement (multiple spend categories) and related agreements
- Brings balance between collaboration, influence, and leadership
- Creative thinking and the ability to articulate a vision to teams across the organization
- Comfortable challenging the status quo, and proposing and owning solutions
- Experience working in a fast-paced, high-volume work environment, ability to deal with ambiguity
- Able to deconstruct and solve complex business problems by inspiring and leading a diverse team of individuals fostering alignment and program focus
- Ability to partner strategically from a people and technical perspective
