Verizon’s Corporate Systems Group (CSG) is transforming how we leverage technology across the business to unlock customer and employee experience, strengthen business partners’ value realization, and build advanced processes & capability through product management and industry-leading platform partners.
In this pivotal role, you’ll be critical in developing and implementing industry-leading practices, platforms, and systems-based program management. Your expertise will empower the business to achieve its strategic objectives, including the corporate data strategy and architecture. Proven ability to spearhead cultural and mindset shifts is essential for modernizing our large-scale organization.
As a Technology leader, this individual will be responsible for the HR Technology strategy, architecture, and build-out of the next-gen HR solutions. This position will assume overall accountability for the CSG-specific HCM deliverables and manage all the system integrations. The position will manage a global ecosystem of teams and partners and must be capable of recruiting, leading, inspiring, and mentoring high-performing talent.
Business & Vendor Partnership- Build strong partnerships with internal customers, peers & vendors to establish trusting relationships; strives to understand goals of business/technology, takes broad POV, effectively manages requests, and helps to understand tradeoffs and make difficult decisions.
Change Agent- Effectively presents technology strategy to internal customers, and technology peers to differentiate and improve customer experience proactively; takes rational feedback and seeks to understand their viewpoints
Team Leader- Develops clear goals for the team and aligns the business benefits behind them to drive results; focuses on enabling the team to make decisions and demonstrates support for their team.
Talent Developer- seeks to understand direct report’s career aspirations, strength, and opportunity areas before providing guidance; defines capabilities and expectations for role(s) based on needs; provides context on situations when providing feedback
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- Implement the Employee Experience acrossdomains at Verizon.
- Develop end-to-end Digital HR roadmap, focusing on personalized employee experiences.
- Thought leadership across HR products and other areas to build seamless digital capability for employees
- Collaborates across senior stakeholders and matrixed teams to create connected solutions.
- Establish strategy for product teams enabling an end-to-end vision for digital HR and other employee functions focused on data and employee experience while maximizing our platform investments across Workday, and other SaaS and OnPrem solutions.
- Drive innovation in HR technology focusing on AI, and design thinking, while simplifying the integration and platform and custom solutions
- Build relationships with stakeholders, technology vendors, and industry partners, while leading strategic efforts.
- Build product roadmaps and deeply understand HR processes and HR technology solutions such as Workday, Peoplesoft, and other HR tech capabilities.
- Manage resources, scope, and timelines; identify potential risks and recommend solutions.
- Provide timely, clear communications.
You’ll need to have:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, computer science, related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10+ years of Solution Design, Application/Software Development, Enterprise Integration, and Application Consulting/Implementation Services.
- Demonstrated experience with managing large-scale multi-year technical implementations.
- 5+ years’ experience in HR/Payroll business processes.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with HCM software (SAP, Oracle, Workday)
- Strong management experience with multi-tiered applications
- Experience managing and influencing client relationships at the senior exec level; ability to present and interact with all levels of management.
- Excellent team leadership and interpersonal skills; ability to coach, mentor, and train others within Verizon; ability to educate key stakeholders; ability to lead cross-functional teams.
- Experience with both custom application software development and packaged software implementations.
- Experience with large-scale system integrators and solution providers.
- Experience in building, deploying, and operating large-scale mission-critical applications globally
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and thrive in a multi-project environment, while ensuring production systems are up and performing well.
- Experience in DevSecOps and Agile development processes, tools, and methodologies
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with C-level gravitas.
Where you’ll be working
In this hybrid role, you’ll have a defined work location that includes work from home and a minimum eight assigned office days per month that will be set by your manager.

The salary will vary depending on your location andconfirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.
The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $176,500.00 – $339,000.00.
