Your mission

As the Technical Director for utility scale projects at GoodWe, you will lead a technical team and a service partner network to get GoodWe technically qualified by the main IPP and EPC customers for utility and large-scale solar projects in Europe, provide direct after-sales support to customers, and organize necessary resources to fulfill the contractual commitments and service level agreement. You will maintain and enhance efficient and structured project operations to ensure smooth execution.

You will be playing a key role in positioning GoodWe as a leading player in the utility scale project business.

Your main responsiblities

• Managing a utility scale project team including several functions: pre-sales, project management, after sales service. Managing below tasks with both the internal team and external service partners to deliver service to utility scale project customers:
• Supporting the qualification of GoodWe by the key IPP and EPC customers in Europe. Maintaining a trustful relationship with the technical stakeholders at the existing customers.
• Technically supporting RFQs and contract negotiations. Building up the full knowledge of market requirements in utility scale projects including product specifications, system design requirements, certification requirements, etc… and transfer these requirements to R&D.
• Conduct customer installation and commissioning trainings, both face-to-face and online.
• Supervise EPC and O&M partners during installation and commissioning of GoodWe’s solutions.
• Provide troubleshooting support for large-scale utility and C&I projects.
• Ensure adherence to service level agreements and fulfill service commitments to customers.
• Manage supply contracts for inverters and MV stations to ensure compliance and customer satisfaction.
• Own and improve local service and project management processes to enhance customer satisfaction.

Your Profile

• Technical background (e.g., electrical engineering) with at least 5 years of experience in solar PV utility-scale projects or battery storage industry.
• Fluent in English; German, Spanish or Chinese skills are a plus.
• Strong communication and organizational, management skills (leading a team which has about 10 people).
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Direct customer interaction experience in utility projects.
• Understanding of transformers and inverters.
• Customer-centric attitude and passion for renewable energy.
• Willingness to travel internationally (approx. 30%) with an EU driving license.
