Vice President of Human Resources

The Formula.Monks Vice President of Human Resources is responsible for helping to set and execute Formula.Monks Human Resources strategy and direction. Within the overall Media.Monks and S4 Capital families, this role oversees the international HR Department managing all aspects of the team member lifecycle across subsidiaries. The Vice President is responsible for the successful maintenance, optimization, and scaling of HR systems and processes. This role works closely with the senior management team and reports to the Global Senior Vice President of Human Resources and Compliance for Media.Monks at S4 Capital.Formula.Monks is a fully distributed organization; this is primarily a remote position.

Responsibilities

Advise managers and leadership on complex people situations including handling all complaints and carrying out confidential investigations.

Audit the performance management processes and own discipline and termination action, ensuring all actions comply with positive leadership strategy, company policy and procedure, employment law, and regulations.

Oversee HR team in effectively managing the team member lifecycle including total ownership of onboarding and offboarding processes for an international workforce.

Maintain and build on Formula.Monks internal information systems and guides.

Ensure complete compliance with all local, state federal, and international labor laws and regulations.

Own payroll and benefits platforms and systems, in partnership with multiple PEOs.

Evaluate and implement systems, platforms, and processes as the company scales.

Design and lead HR and compliance-related training.

Create and maintain HR policies for various team member groups.

Manage end-to-end process of adding international employment locations.

Work in conjunction with finance/accounting and corporate teams on select projects.

Collaborate with People Experience Talent Acquisition and Operations teams on larger team member-related initiatives.

Manage Safety programs.

Manage direct physical office space in Woodland Hills, CA

Qualifications

15+ years of HR experience including multi-state and international employee relations, compliance, staffing, payroll, benefits, compensation, onboarding and offboarding, and HRIS systems.

Demonstrated ability to build relationships and establish trust at all levels of the organization.

Interest in policies, processes, and strategies for scaling the HR function within a growing business. Ability to enthusiastically drive DEI initiatives.

Extreme attention to detail with an ability to balance multiple priorities and projects at once.

Successful management and building of a world-class Human Resources and Payroll organization.Comfortable with ambiguity and resolving new situations.

Experience Using Modern HRIS Systems Is Essential.

Company-wide data accuracy in relation to policies, guides, and team member data.

Confidence, experience, and a demonstrated ability to be a credible Human Resources leader for a high-performing HR team.

Experience with leading the growth and development of HR team

Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP is preferred.
