JOB SUMMARY AND DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE WORK:
The Vice President of Sales develops and executes sales strategies that maximize revenue across total Admissions for Times Travel and The VIP Experience through Group Sales, FIT Sales, and Online Travel Agency (OTA) partnerships for One Times Square. This individual plays a pivotal role in driving ticket sales, securing partnerships, and positioning One Times Square as a premier visitor attraction and event venue. The ideal candidate is an analytical thinker with a deep understanding of the tourism, hospitality, and entertainment industries and has a proven record in leading high-performing sales teams.
The VP of Sales reports directly to the Executive Vice President for One Times Square and collaborate with marketing, operations, and finance teams to optimize revenue opportunities. This role requires a proactive leader who builds and maintains key industry relationships while managing a high-energy sales team.
Essential Functions
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth across all sales channels, including group sales, travel trade, corporate partnerships, and special events.
- Lead, mentor, and manage the sales team, providing guidance, training, and motivation to ensure optimal performance.
- Establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the tourism and travel trade industries, including domestic and international tour operators, event planners, and corporate clients.
- Proactively solicit new business through sales calls, presentations, trade shows, networking events, and client prospecting.
- Collaborate with marketing to develop promotional campaigns, special offers, and pricing strategies that align with target audiences and market trends.
- Oversee contract negotiations, revenue tracking, and sales reporting to ensure accuracy and alignment with overall business goals.
- Monitor market trends and competitive landscape to identify new opportunities and enhance sales strategies.
- Develop creative programming and sales initiatives to maximize visitation, particularly during off-peak periods.
- Work closely with the operations and ticketing teams to ensure seamless guest experiences and maximize visitor engagement.
- Represent One Times Square at industry events and conferences to enhance brand visibility and develop key partnerships.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
Experience:
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience in sales leadership roles within the attractions, hospitality, tourism, or entertainment industries.
- Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies that drive revenue growth.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing, mentoring, and motivating high-performing sales teams.
- Extensive knowledge of the New York City tourism market, including relationships with key industry stakeholders.
Skills & Abilities
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on data-driven decision-making and financial acumen.
- Experience with CRM platforms, including Salesforce, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as necessary.
Other:
- Bilingual or multilingual ability a plus.
- Must be willing to travel as needed for property visits, events, tradeshows, sales missions, and industry conferences.

Regular and reliable attendance, in alignment with standard working hours, plays an essential role in supporting the success of this position. Given the dynamic nature of the travel and tourism industry, team members may occasionally be asked to work flexible schedules that align with the evolving needs of the attractions and affiliated businesses.
All employees are expected to uphold company policies and procedures to ensure the safety, efficiency, and high-quality experience of operating the attraction and related ventures.
This role involves physical activity, including walking through the attraction and standing for extended periods. Tasks may vary in duration and intensity each day and require the ability to operate the necessary equipment with care and dexterity.
Working Conditions
The candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Responsibilities may require an adjusted work schedule, travel, and evening/weekend hours to meet deadlines or attend special events.
