Position Description
CDW is a company focused on evolving to meet the needs of our business, coworkers and customers. Recently, Kate Sanderson joined CDW as CHRO to lead an exciting HR transformation to scale and implement leading practices in how we deliver HR services to our coworkers across the globe. As part of the transformation team, CDW has created a new role: Vice President, Coworker Experience (Shared Services). This role will report directly to Kate, leading five direct reports and a team of more than 30. The Shared Services function (Coworker Experience team) includes coworker support, payroll, immigration, HRIS and employee relations.
Stepping into the role, the VP Coworker Experience will begin to transform CDW’s Shared Services operations, bringing together disparate pieces into a unified function. This leader will be instrumental in shaping this nascent function within CDW, building something that ensures work is fit for purpose, on time and efficient. Key areas of focus will include optimizing CDW’s recently implemented Workday system and HR technology stack, enhancing HR’s data and analytics team, implementing a global service delivery model and leading efforts to reorganize which work is done onshore, offshore or through outside partners. This shared service leader will have in-depth knowledge of which functions across the HR team are best delivered in a shared service model. They will have the pattern recognition to know how to create, build and transition to this model effectively, and a high degree of collaboration and teamwork across the HR function is essential.
The ideal candidate for this role will be a well-experienced shared services leader who has spent time in best-in-class environments and has an understanding of what great looks like. This leader will need the systems and offshoring experience necessary to translate that best-in-class experience into something unique to CDW that will help the function and business operate more efficiently. It is vital to be comfortable with change and able to prioritize effectively.
