- Identifying and initiating one-on-one dialog with new potential State & Local Government entities to determine safety and security needs.
- Using referral sources as well as maintaining positive relationships with existing referral sources to tap into opportunities for growth.
- Networking, building relationships, and educating accounts within the Government arena on all the benefits of CENTEGIX products and services and how our brand CrisisAlert solution saves lives.
- Communicating with major clients on a regular basis and responding to specific inquiries.
Position Responsibilities
- Build a strategy to grow revenue within the State & Local Government sector.
- Build a territory management plan from scratch to support scalable growth in the Government sector.
- Recruit, hire, and build a high-performing sales team from 0 to a full team structure, focusing on quality and performance.
- Recruit and engage referral partners and selling agents / resellers in each state / region that can be influencers within key accounts and sign them into our referral/selling agent / reseller partner program.
- Use direct selling and indirect selling to create sales opportunities to grow the Government vertical.
- Identify, attend, and support annual conferences and events to establish relationships.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports and forecasts.
- Conduct pipeline and strategy reviews of accounts to help progress opportunities.
- Attend 1:1’s, team meetings and company meetings.
- Ensure that the CRM database (SalesForce.com) contains accurate and complete account and process details.
- Develop strong content knowledge for CENTEGIX’s products and services.
- Work collaboratively with all customer operations and sales teams to identify / recommend / implement improvements to enhance the customer experience and accelerate team productivity.
Requirements
- Must have knowledge of GovTech solutions and how to navigate government procurement and funding processes.
- Experience in State & Local Government sales, preferably SaaS and HaaS.
- Experience selling at the safety, IT, top administration levels.
- Demonstrated ability to secure net-new business and retain / expand strategic relationships.
- Proficient with CRM software and account management systems.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Travel required.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Must have a proven track record of demonstrated performance and success.
You will stand out from the pack if you have:
- Previous 7+ years selling experience into the Government sector with proven success and performance.
- Experience hiring, training, and leading a Government-focused sales team.
- Experience building a territory management plan and executing it to scale the business successfully.
- Experience using Salesforce CRM, G-Suite, Slack, Zoom.
- Proven dynamic presentation skills with good comfort in having high level discussions with key stakeholders.
- Capacity to listen and identify needs of Government entities.
- Existing relationships with key high level administrators within Government vertical.
- Understanding of sales performance metrics and KPIs and the necessity of why they are important.
