Responsibilities / Position Overview

We’re looking for an experienced and creative Social Account Director to serve as a trusted advisor and senior consultant to clients and the larger Stripe team on all things social. You will be the social media expert on a variety of key accounts across hospitality, food and drink, travel, retail, sport, health, and tech and execute social strategy.

You’ll combine your client servicing skills, enthusiasm, and creativity to build brilliant relationships with clients, and inspire them to transform their projects and accounts to long-term collaborations.

Your expert knowledge, insightful strategic recommendations, creative ideas, and outstanding service will ensure social and content activity is in line with objectives, on brand, on brief, on budget, and on time.

The Social Account Director manages the social and integrated account delivery teams and collaborates with clients and colleagues to proactively grow and optimise social media activity through research and strategy setting, shaping and optimising account and overarching social team processes, creative content planning and production management, quality control, KPI setting, measurement, client counsel and account leadership, budget tracking and resource allocation.

As a Social Account Director, you’ll be expected to elevate how the Stripe team delivers and sells every aspect of social activity, identifying and acting on opportunities to increase knowledge, improve efficiency, communicate better, streamline processes, add value, and get incredible results.

You’ll be counted on to stay at the forefront of social, platform and content trends, sharing what you find with the team and helping them apply it to client work in effective and impressive ways and et a standard of excellence for the team, identify new growth opportunities with existing clients and bring in new business.

We currently have a flexible working arrangement with time spent working from home and from our office in London.

Qualifications

  • A social/digital marketing leader with 5+ years’ experience, including agency side.
  • Strategic, creative, a leader with the ability to come up with ideas and pitch to clients/teams.
  • Previous experience as a line manager
  • Confident liaising with internal and client stakeholders at all levels
  • An excellent copywriter and creative storyteller, with a strong eye for what works and how to create it.
  • Experienced in managing complementary organic, paid and influencer social content activity for brands with varied budgets.
  • Well-versed in using social platforms for brands, including Facebook, Instagram, X/Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, etc.
  • Comfortable using Meta Business Manager as a full administrator.
  • Used to gathering, interpreting and reporting on social media analytics from multiple sources, making data and learnings easy to understand.
  • Strong when it comes to understanding content marketing, brand reputation, risk management and social crisis comms.
  • Experience with social media management tools, e.g. Hootsuite, Sprinklr, Sprout Social, Later, or similar.
  • Familiar with and know how to use social listening tools such as Brandwatch, Meltwater Social, Pulsar or similar.
  • Detail oriented and superbly organized, able to handle a wide range of stakeholders and projects in parallel at pace.
  • Confident costing and billing work, including third party costs.
  • Ambitious in setting and achieving goals for you, your teams, clients and the business.
  • Proactive, flexible and adaptable – able to keep up with changes to social platforms, client priorities and external events that impact campaign execution.
