The Role

Our team is looking for a hungry and experienced APAC Account Director to join us in our Singapore APAC Hub to lead an exciting new relationship with a global client. In this role, you will provide strategic and executional leadership across all brand efforts, with a focus on operational excellence.

Our Singapore office is the hub servicing APAC markets for Expedia Group, and works in close collaboration with our Los Angeles and London hub, and clients and agency partners around the globe. This role presents the unique opportunity of working alongside the best talent within the entire Omnicom network. You will act as connective tissue between the clients and the best agencies within our network selected to bring projects to life.

The Account Director will be reporting into the Global Account Lead in Los Angeles and will work closely with the Project Management team. They will be responsible for driving the future vision, planning, and overseeing execution of all projects. In this role, you will serve as key leader to provide direction across global projects of different nature: brand, design, product launch, social, staff augmentation, etc.

This being a new client relationship, the Account Director will be key in establishing systematic ways of working, driving operational efficiencies across the board, and helping us bring a new and unique agency-client relationship model to life.

The day-to-day responsibilities include putting together project proposals, briefing creative and content curation teams (for example, Business Affairs, the Photo team, and so on); driving communications across teams; aligning with creative development and production schedules, presentations, and approval processes; and troubleshooting to create a smooth workflow for the cross-functional teams involved.

The Work

  • We lead teams that partner closely with Executive Leadership, Brand Integration, Integrated Production, Channel Leads, Creative, Design and Agency partners.
  • We deliver new approaches to the planning, development, and execution of communications in our given brand or area expertise, including working to develop process, structure and staffing, resources, and external support.
  • We enthusiastically build rapport, credibility, and influence, and we get results throughout the organization at all levels and across departments in a highly complex client organization.
  • We demonstrate creativity in problem solving, dynamic and unconventional thinking, and quick adaptation to new challenges.
  • We oversee projects of different nature to ensure the flawless development and execution of world-class communications.
  • We act as leaders within the Agency Group to provide creative solutions across many categories, including product launch support, social campaigns, seasonal campaigns, roadmap planning, and platform development.
  • We work with key partner Agencies to ensure alignment on key initiatives.
  • You will lead and manage a team, inspiring them to grow, develop, and create extraordinary work.

Requirements

  • You have 8 to 10 years of experience working on global brands, preferably at a creatively driven ad agency or in-house marketing communications department.
  • You can deliver marketing communication goals in your brand or area of expertise, and you are able to prioritize efforts based on business need.
  • You have superlative written and verbal skills as well as excellent presentation skills.
  • You can balance working in a creatively driven organization with an analytical and focused approach to marketing, and you can support, understand, and improve the creative process.
  • You are self-motivated, proactive, and flexible with strong interpersonal skills.
  • You are an enthusiastic leader who can motivate, inspire, and lead a team through ambitious situations.
  • You are inquisitive and team oriented, with the ability and vision to define the day-to-day aspects of your primary role while keeping focus on its larger goals.
  • You are a problem solver, someone who is not afraid to ask questions and hold clients accountable, and can connect the dots quickly.
  • You have shown ability to actively build rapport, credibility, and influence and to make things happen throughout a highly matrixed organization.
