Chief of Staff

The Chief of Staff position is a critical and trusted leadership role as the strategic right-hand person to the Country leadership. In this role you will help drive strategic business planning as we continue to double our growth year over year. This is a fast paced, think on your feet position as you interact and build key relationships with business leaders across the organization.

We’ve experienced a wonderful period of growth as the direct result of increased efficiency and productivity. To continue this trajectory, we’re searching for a highly qualified chief of staff to work closely with our executive team. From day one, the chief of staff will have an immediate impact on our productivity, streamlining strategic initiatives, overseeing program management, and communicating objectives between departments. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a business management role, with a special focus on executive-level advising and interdepartmental collaboration.

Roles & Responsibilities:

The role will include, but not be limited to, the following:

Project management:

  • Tracking high priority initiatives for the executive and identifying any obstacles, communicating initiative status to the executive, pulling in other executives or team members as necessary, connecting teams that are working on similar initiatives, pulling together, and managing project teams that require input from multiple areas within the company.
  • Coordinate for all governance bodies (ex. monthly Account reviews, weekly Operational Committees, Create action plans and followup on actions…)

Account reviews / Financial actions:

  • Running the Monthly account plans, project managing account plan reviews and actions, analysing the action plans, creating, and updating monthly dashboards to track changes KPIs.

Strategic initiatives:

  • Identifying and taking on ad-hoc strategic projects (for example executing key initiatives or closing any operational gaps), defining and researching new ideas and business opportunities, building out a new business unit, providing decision support through data gathering and analysis and presenting recommendations to stakeholders
  • Covering initiatives to ensure organic and inorganic growth (i.e., M&A

Communications/Marketing:

  • Designing and executing Marketing / communications strategy, helping in speeches and presentations

Human resources:

  • Working with HR on key resource recruiting processes, managing the organization structure, aligning internal processes

Advisory:

  • Serving as a trusted advisor and confidant to the executive

Relationship management:

  • Managing critical relationships on behalf of the executive

Gatekeeping:

  • Assessing all inquiries directed to the executive and determining the proper course of action, determining which meetings take priority, vetting requests for time and routing requests to other departments as appropriate.

Qualifications:

  • Management or Engineering graduate
  • About 10+ years’ experience, with at least 5 years’ experience in management in the IT-sector.
  • Proven successful record within the IT-Services industry would be an added advantage.
  • Having sound business acumen, be a good team player with a proactive approach
  • Good analytical skills and data orientation
